This is just a single-dish review, so take it with a pinch of salt I guess, but I think I'm permanently scarred. Admittedly all the food on other guest's tables looked really good! But I only ordered a greek salad - and that's pretty simple really, I'd have thought... (buckle yourself in purists, it's gonna be a rough ride!)....
Things in it, that were correctly in it: Olives Tomato Onion Feta Olive Oil Vinegar
Things not in it, that should have been: Green pepper Lemon juice Oregano Capers
And now, things in it, that shouldn't have been in it, or even on site! Lettuce Mint Basil Rocket! Radishes! Pickled chilllis!!
I mean pleeeease, whyyyy!? And actually, when asked why, to the waiter, he said that actually he was giving a greek salad plus more! So should be more grateful because it's extra! Good lord almighty. Hell, why not chuck some raspberries on the top! Sprinkle it in chocolate chips! Chuck a used car tyre in with it! Blehhhh. Oh and a dollop of...
Read moreIf I could give 6 stars I would. I ate in a few different places in Haraki, but this is where I came back my last few nights. The best food, the best staff/family owners (somehow they seem to make everyone feel like family, and remember all their guests), the best view. The only downside is that, even in mid October when everywhere else is quiet, you still need to come early (by 5pm) or make reservations the day before. I had the sea bass, sea bream, and stifado, and also loved the garlic pitas, finished off with delicious free ice cream. This restaurant embodies what makes Haraki so special, and many guests coming back year after year. I felt at ease, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, a glass of wine, delicious food, watching the golden hour light up the castle and the stillness of sunset engulf the bay.
(Best wishes to all the family, and I hope you enjoy some hard-earned rest...

The food was okay overall. The Greek salad was fresh and satisfying, and the Saganaki halloumi was really good, with just the right amount of crispiness. The chicken souvlaki was a bit dry, so next time, I’ll probably opt for the fish instead. We were pleasantly surprised with complimentary ice cream desserts, which was a nice touch.
The ambiance is pleasant, though the location on a bustling walkway means it can be a bit lively. The prices are really great, making it an excellent value for what you get. Despite the busy location, Kostas & Elena Restaurant is worth a visit for the service, halloumi saganaki, and...
