Castellan restaraunt — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

This is a restaurant run by a family, and you can experience that in every bite. The food is simply delicious, the menu is rich and has a great verity. We were a group of 10 people, and all of us liked the food very much! The staff is so nice and you can feel it. Even the kids (after 10 days in Rhodes) liked the food. In the end of the dinner, all the plates were completely empty and our bellies and souls were full. What a nice place. The restaurant is located in an dead end street (due to road works) so it has a little less visitors than before, but we all felt it's a shame. Family business for 25 years. We were so lucky to find this amazing family restaurant next to our hotel in Faliraki. The food is amazing, homemade and served with love. Quality of the food is on top! The biggest highlight is the team, the ladies are greeting you like a part of the family, with such a care and warmest smile. Every single moment at the restaurant feels like home. We ordered 3-courses menu with drinks and an average end up with maximum 30 Euro per person, which is great budget-friendly.

My husband and I visited this restaurant last night, and we were extremely disappointed. The portion sizes were very small. I ordered a Greek salad, while my husband had moussaka. The moussaka was nothing like the ones we've had over the past 10 years of visiting Greece. In fact, it was the worst restaurant experience we've had in the past five years.

While everything looks nice from the outside, and the staff is friendly, what you get on your plate is the exact opposite. To make matters worse, my husband ended up with food poisoning and spent several hours sick afterwards. We do not recommend this...
