Ilios restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

By far one the best place we’ve been in Rhodes - a rather understated restaurant, serving delicious flavourful food, family run - friendly service, well priced and without fail complimentary bread and tapenade to begin and chilled watermelon or Ouzo to finish. We went like 6+ times and weren’t disappointed even once. Our firm favourites were the chicken gyros and chicken souvlaki, Salmon, Carbonara, Mojito and Sangria. In many places elsewhere - we have found the gyros meat rather dry lacking flavour and the cocktails always sweeter than we’d prefer; not at this place though. We spent 10 days in Rhodes and every evening meal, (except 1), was spent in this restaurant. The food is a mix of traditional Greek & contemporary world food. My advice is to try all the Greek dishes and the 'fish of the day'; you can have Pizza, Pasta, etc anywhere! The service was extremely attentive, with a multilingual owner spending time with each guest in their own language. The chef was very flexible in requests, allergies & alterations to the food being prepared. Each meal was completed with something nice as a complentary thank you from the restaurant, e.g. Melon or on occasion Ouzo. if i could give 6 stars i would! staff is super nice. the food was Soooooo good. for the past 10 days here in Rhodos this is the best experience so far. then we stumbled upon here by accident. i regret not stumbling here earlier the meat was moist and super delicious. the best experience so far very satisfied!!! thank u!! ps it got even better, we just got free watermelon from the staff.
