We visited the Esperides Beach Resort in Falaraki, Rhodes in early May 2024. The advised transfer time from the airport to the hotel was 1 hour 25 minutes which, thankfully only took 35 minutes. We arrived after midnight and were warmly welcomed at reception. Check-in was friendly and quick. We went up to our room on the third floor and found that food had been left for us which was a nice touch. There were two sandwiches, two tubs of pasta salad and two bananas. In the fridge were a can of lager, two cans of orange fizzy drink and two bottles of water. We ate on the balcony as we listened to the sea, a lovely start to our holiday.||||The Bedroom.||||A little tired but kept spotlessly clean by the friendly and efficient housekeepers. We were in room 327, a lovely quiet room with a great sea view. The air-conditioning was efficient and whisper quiet. The lighting was good with two bedside reading lights. There was a large mirror over a desk, a powerful hairdryer and a large flatscreen TV which we had a quick look at but could not find any channels in English, this did not bother us, we had not gone to Rhodes to watch TV!||||There was a fridge which had cans of soft drinks (not restocked) and bottles of water (that were). Two bottles of water were supplied daily.||||There were twelve hangers in the wardrobe, which seems to be the standard number supplied everywhere but is wholly insufficient! We now take hangers with us as twelve hangers are not enough for two adults on a ten day holiday wearing two outfits per day! A free to use safe was in the wardrobe which is nice as I do not like to pay extra for this amenity when paying for “all inclusive”! ||||The bed was large and comfortable but the pillows were about half the size and depth of a standard UK pillow and were not comfortable at all. There was also no top sheet which was a shame as in hot climates I find that I throw off the duvet in the night but still need a sheet to cover me. Also it would be quicker and cheaper to replace and wash a top sheet rather than a duvet cover when changing the bed linen. The headboard was wooden and hard so, given that the pillow was so small, it was not comfortable to sit up and read in bed. The headboard also projects 8” (20.4cm) into the room. When upgrading the furnishings a shallower headboard would help as there is not much room between the end of the bed and the drawer unit on the opposite wall.||||There is a net curtain and a curtain over the window, however this is not a blackout curtain so we always had an early start to the day! When upgrading the room it would be nice for a blackout curtain to be added as there is a third empty curtain track already in place.||||We had a small sunny balcony with a table and two chairs. The addition of a wall mounted folding drying rack would be helpful to dry swim wear.||||The room had a suitcase rack, a table and a chair as well as a desk and chair with two small drawers. There are two further drawers for clothes but the room could do with more storage. The bedside cabinets have one small drawer each. There was a waste bin with three sections for recycling but not labelled so we did not know what went into each section.||||There is a card to leave on the bed if you wish to have the sheets changed.||||It would be nice to have plug sockets and USB sockets next to the bedside cabinets to charge mobile phones overnight (and to check the time during the night). We had to charge the phones on the floor away from the bed, not terrible but it could be better.||||The beach towel system is the best we have ever encountered! Two plastic cards came with the room cards, these can be exchanged at the towel station (in the shop adjacent to the pool) for a towel. The towel can be exchanged for a new towel when required or another card. At check out the card is handed back - if not there is a 25 euro charge. Well done Esperides!||||The Bathroom.||||The bathroom could do with updating, it was tired but perfectly clean. We had a problem with the mixer tap over the bath, it was leaking as a joint had corroded and crumbled. The leaking water went along the edge of the bath and onto the floor, thankfully there was a floor drain. We mentioned the problem to reception when went into our evening meal fully expecting it to be fixed the next day but when we returned to the room later it had been replaced with a new unit - fantastic service!||||The bathroom had hand soap and shower gel dispensers but no shampoo or conditioner. There were always plenty of nice quality toilet rolls. The water pressure was good and there was always plenty of hot water. The towels were of good quality and frequently changed. There was a large mirror and two very small shelves next to the sink. Storage could be vastly improved by the addition of two or three shelves in the alcove above the toilet. ||||There was a fabric shower curtain which I was not keen on as it stuck to me whilst I showered and it did not stop water going on to the floor. A shower screen would be an improvement when the rooms get an upgrade as these look better, perform better and do not need to be washed. Washing a shower curtain releases micro-plastics into the environment and uses more water than wiping down a screen and this is a hotel clearly doing its best to be environmentally friendly. A double walk-in shower (apart from in the family rooms) would be even better when the rooms are refurbished.||||The extractor fan was quiet and efficient. There was an emergency call button next to the bath something I have not seen before, thankfully we did not need it.||||The towel storage rack was at the end of the bath but it was very high up - I struggled and I would imagine it would be difficult for elderly guests to reach up to it.||||||The Grounds.||||Immaculate, so well laid out and tended, the whole place looks like new. At the front is mini-golf which was great fun! To book just ask at reception for a time to play and to collect the balls and clubs which were in good condition. There is a tennis court, car park, fountains and seating area at the front too.||||Next door is a car hire company - Esperides Rent-a-Car that we can highly recommend, no fuss and no trying to upsell on collection. When we handed the car back we were only charged the same rate as the petrol stations to fill up the tank.||||For those using public transport the bus stop is just outside the hotel entrance.||||At the back of the hotel are two swimming pools and a toddler pool thoughtfully covered with a large awning to shade the little ones. The main pool by the pool bar can get a little noisy with music, animation led activities and children playing. The mature planting is lovely and divides the space into separate areas. There are lots of sun-beds around the pools and a separate area with large smooth concrete pads each with four sun-beds and a parasol. Shade is also provided here by tall palm trees. We went here to relax with a book away from the main pool as it was quieter. There are more sun-beds which belong to the hotel on the beach and there is no charge to use them. The beach is made up of pebbles - take beach shoes. We never had a problem finding a quiet spot away from the pool.||||To the left hand side out of the way is a children’s playground, the stage for night entertainment, waterslides and a restaurant and bar with lots of seating. There is another bar by the main pool with pool tables, an arcade and a shop selling beach toys, swimwear etc and where the towel station is located. There are showers and a toilet block close to the shop which are beautifully appointed.||||There is a jetty on the beach just outside the hotel to get the ferries to Rhodes Town, Falaraki and Lindos.||||Hotel interior.||||Absolutely top notch, the whole place looks brand new! The lobby is large, light and airy with plenty of seating. There is a glass lift with great views over the front area and further lifts to service the seven floors, we never had to wait long to get a lift. The staircase really does need a handrail though.||||There is a large seating area just off the lobby with comfortable sofas where we went in the evenings, near the bar. The main restaurant which serves breakfast and the evening meals is also off the main lobby.||||On the lower ground floor is a shop, the Blue Cafe and a further restaurant which serves lunches. The library area is here but the books are mainly in German as the majority of the guests are German. The courtesy shower rooms are located at the far end and were the best we have ever used - a large lockable room with a double sink, mirror, a big pile of fresh towels, a linen basket, hair-dryer, a toilet cubicle and two large shower rooms. This facility would be even better with the addition of coat hooks and a plastic chair in each shower room as it is difficult to put on socks and shoes without sitting down!||||There is a gym on the first floor, not my thing but I did take a quick look - it was cool in there with lots of new looking equipment.||||Entertainment.||||The animation team were busy all day with water aerobics, yoga and games on the lawned area. You could join in if you wanted to but no pressure if you didn’t want to. In the evening live acts performed on the island in the middle of the pool by the Blue Cafe. This could be enjoyed from the loungers around the pool, the sofas on the terrace, the tables and chairs in the cafe or, if you had a sea view room, from your balcony. The music went on until around 10.30pm and can be heard in the sea view rooms even with the window closed, so if you like an early night don’t get a sea view room! There was also evening entertainment by the animation team on the stage by the children’s playground but we didn’t go there.||||Food.||||Wow, really impressed with the variety and quality on offer all day! ||||Breakfast - the main restaurant was always busy and a bit noisy, we always sat by the windows - with a lovely view towards the sea - as the ceiling is lower in this area it seems a little quieter. We were always greeted by a cheerful waitress with a pot of coffee. There was so much to choose from, pancakes, cooked breakfasts, yoghurts, smoothies, pastries, fruit, porridge, even baby formula was provided.||||Snacks were available from the Blue Cafe and Tutti Frutti bar. There were sandwiches, fruit, ice cream, waffles, pastries etc.||||Lunch could be found at the Tutti Frutti bar or the restaurant on the Lower Ground Floor. There was a range of food from light bites to salads, pastas and grilled meats along with a lovely selection of desserts.||||The evening meal was served in the main food hall just off the lobby. Lots of choice, and very tasty. Put it this way - we had a ten day stay and we both went home 9 pounds (4 kilos) heavier!||||Eco - credentials.||||The Esperides Beach Resort Hotel does appear to be actively trying to be planet friendly! There is a roof full of solar panels, liquid soap rather than bars and bed sheets are changed when requested. There is a battery recycling container in the main lobby. Around the pool drinks are served in reusable polycarbonate glasses rather than paper cups and are collected from rather nice homemade collection points.||||Conclusion.||||We stayed in early May 2024 with friends, we all had a fantastic time and would definitely stay again. Overall we found this hotel to be very comfortable, well appointed and excellent value for money. A few minor upgrades to the courtesy shower room and the bedrooms and this hotel would be faultless. ||||The majority of the guests when we stayed were German, mainly a more mature crowd with a few families with small children. This is a quiet hotel being a good 40 minute walk from the restaurants, bars and nightclubs in Falaraki at the far end of the beach. The hotel is well placed on the island to visit all the major attractions and we would recommend hiring a car from Esperides Rent-a-Car next door. The staff were all friendly and helpful.||||Thank you Esperides Beach Resort for a wonderful holiday!||||For video reviews of the hotel and our day trips around Rhodes visit the popular video sharing platform - channel name -...
Read moreWow! All I can say. ||||We had an incredible week here - we used ELITE VIP transfers who were phenomenal too, so if you’re after a decent transfer company it cost us €90 for 2 adults and one child from the airport to hotel and back again.||||As for this hotel. The ONLY thing that lets it down slightly is the drinks - even soft drinks were very flat/sweet/syrupy. The pina colada’s and Aperol spritz’s were good though! We found the self serve soft drinks to be better at the snack bar behind the water slides. Wine was like vinegar but the beer is good! ||||The staff are phenomenal - from the entertainment crew who dance and give the best energy ALL DAY in the scorching heat (I’ll never get how they do that!), the bar and restaurant staff are all so lovely and can’t tend to you quick enough, receptionists are always happy and ready to help. They’re all wonderful and a simple ‘kalimera’(good morning) goes such a long way. ||||The main restaurant was very large, never felt too packed although I can imagine in the summer holidays it gets very busy, and we did sit outside so maybe that helped. Food was exceptional - amazing fresh salads, meats, fresh made pizzas. Greek desserts were phenomenal, although I will say maybe just stick to the ice cream if you’re a fussy one for desert’s as they’re very exotic and flavourful, not just plain cakes etc! ||||In the blue bar there are help yourself waffles and donuts from 11-6 and if I’m going to write something, I need to tell you to try the donut balls. They are insanely good. ||||The mini disco starts at 8:30, followed by kids games before the entertainment. Theres a good park under cover next to the stage, has the same pebble sand grounds as the beach so just be prepared for your shoes to be full 😂||||There is sometimes entertainment in the pool bar and the blue bar too, usually a singer/band or acrobats which were all really good. Blue bar is more of a chilled out adults space I would say. Lovely vibe there!||||The staff come round the pool at 10am, perform their club dance (which I think they do 3/4 times each day by the main pool) and get into their games. ||We saw yoga, Spanish dance classes, beach volleyball, water polo, water aerobics, darts.. so much more. They had so much going on in the kids clubs too, beach walks, craft days, environment day. The kids were very well entertained. ||Shout out to Weronika who my little boy was besotted with, Gabriel for being so helpful and Ezio who you’ll usually find on the DJ decks hosting so much of the entertainment. Incredibly talented, energetic and great music choice too!||||The hotel is very accessible, I have mobility issues and there are lifts and ramps everywhere, even down to the beach(just not right down to the sea). So very wheelchair and mobility friendly. ||||We did have to get up early each day to reserve sunbeds but this didn’t bother us, so I went for the big dome cushioned beds around the ‘donut’ pool outside the blue bar. So worth it!! ||||Overall I really cannot fault the place other than the drinks. Spotlessly clean for such a busy hotel, staff are so proactive and friendly, pools are great, food is fantastic, rooms basic but clean with great aircon (we stayed in 7116- does not have an overhead shower, just a hold shower over a bath) grounds are just lovely. Biggest tip; bring beach shoes. You will need them! ||||Games room is very humid but large, lots to do there and plenty of €1 rides/games. This is open 10-10 I think? There’s 2 shops on site, one in the hotel lobby ground floor which sells snacks, lip balms, toiletries, drinks etc, and one pool side that sells magnets, Ice creams, beach toys/buckets/pool floats, toys, slime, keyrings, suncreams, balls. We paid €17 for a pool lilo, €9 for a small football, €3 usually for an ice cream/lolly, €2.70 for a magnet. Just to give some pricing ideas! (Bring beach floats with you if you can as they can get very expensive, however they will inflate them for you in the shop if you buy them from there)||||Really hope to return one day as it’s a fantastic family hotel for young kids up to I’d say around 7, but there’s so much going on there’s something for everyone. Thanks so much for a...
Read moreFAO Hotel Management,||I am writing to share my concerns regarding our recent stay at your hotel, booked through Jet2 Holidays as part of an all-inclusive package.||We chose your hotel to celebrate our son's second birthday on June 15th, arriving on June 13th. Unfortunately, our experience has been disappointing. We paid over £2,000 for a 7-night stay, plus an additional €70 for the climate charge, which we feel was not justified based on the quality of the service and accommodations.|While I plan to update this feedback during our stay, I wanted to share my initial thoughts. The room we were assigned (Room 7004 – Superior Family Room) is dated and in need of refurbishment. The walls are made of plasterboard, and we could hear every noise from neighboring rooms, including toilet flushes above us. The doors don't shut properly, and we could hear the wind howling through them at night.|Upon inspecting the room, we found rust on the doors and mirrors, and the bed had baby spiders and insects, which suggests the room had not been cleaned properly before our arrival. The garden view was marred by cigarette butts and bottle caps, making it unsafe for our 2-year-old to play.|When we inquired about moving to a different room, we were told all rooms were fully booked. Later, we were informed that once guests checked out, they would try to offer us a better room, but this response was misleading and unhelpful.||The mini fridge in the room was stocked with two bottles of water, two cans of beer, and three sandwiches. Unfortunately, the fridge was set to a low temperature (3°C), and the sandwiches were soaked upon arrival. The bed itself was uncomfortable and squeaky, making it difficult to sleep.||The breakfast experience was similarly underwhelming. The variety was limited, and the plates were often wet. While the staff were friendly, there were no coffee machines for guests to make their own coffee, which was inconvenient. Additionally, the bacon served was undercooked, as noted by other guests. As we approach the second day of our holiday, I am feeling regretful about our decision to stay at this hotel. I had hoped to make the best of my son's birthday, but I am deeply concerned about the overall quality of the experience.|||**Update: 15th June 2025 - room changed||I recently met with Mr. Stathis Barbagiannis from the Senior Relations team, and we discussed areas for improvement. While I acknowledge there is room for growth, I hope to see positive changes if I decide to return with my family.|After the meeting, I adjusted my rating to 3 out of 5 stars. I had considered raising it to 4, but an incident during breakfast left me concerned. I tried to use the coffee machine but was sternly told, “No, coffee at the table.” I believe that English should be the primary language in international hospitality to ensure consistency and clarity.|Additionally, we did not receive a tour of the hotel upon arrival, which left us navigating the premises on our own and unsure of available amenities or restrictions (e.g., whether we could serve ourselves coffee).|I also encountered an issue with the door locks in our room. The mechanism does not allow the door to be securely locked from the inside, which is a safety concern, particularly for families with young children.|Furthermore, during meal times, there was a lack of organization in the dining areas. No queues or order were maintained, and guests took food as they pleased. This chaotic atmosphere could be managed better by hotel staff to ensure a more pleasant dining experience.|While this feedback is based on our personal experience, I hope these issues will be addressed for the satisfaction of future guests.||Ultimately, the decision to stay at this hotel will depend on each individual’s expectations. On a positive note, I would like to thank the management for the thoughtful birthday cake. It was a lovely...
