Outstanding. We stopped by as a 'we need food now, pick anywhere' kinda choice..and ended up here. I wanna say early on DON'T judge this lil place by its surroundings or placing. Half constructed building opposite, a lil rough round the edges BUT! Truly Greek'ish. It was charming :) No one in but us to begin with but as we left ppl were arrivinh.
My oh my. The stifado was such a treat! Cinnamony, beefy- that was dropping apart- and the onions were melt in the mouth tasty. We had a Greek salad. Couldn't have been more simple! Sliced toms, cucumber, peppers, a huge block of salty feta and red onion (no olives in ours) and it's served with olive oil, etc. You dress it yourself. So so dang juicy.. I just got stuck in my my hands and ripped it up ha. Nothing compares to Greek toms and never will! And finally. Our SAGANAKI! Deep fried cheese with his very own, self made honey. He even had his bee keeper garb there hanging up. It was unxious. Delicious..rich. Deeply moreish. We had a lemon drink and and an orange drink as we were driving. In all, the bill was €35!!! We left a few coins for a tip. He also has a lil avry with song birds to listen too. I loved this lil place... sadly, way out of our way as we were heading elsewhere. I recommend sitting your bum on a seat and just ordering the food- no judgment. He's a lovely fella too. Happy to recommend and then leave you to it. 10/10 Good sir! Best of luck...
Read moreAvoid this restaurant at all cost! We accidentally dropped our credit card and the owner used it via the wireless/NFC function (that has a 100 EUR limit before asking for a PIN). When confronting the owner it was obvious that he had used it himself. He tried to blame some British tourists but refused to explain the following: How come the credit card was used the same day but after closing hours (I got notifications on my phone). How come the credit card was used before they had opened? Could not provide any evidence in terms of video surveillance or receipts from the previous purchases. However he could show me all other receipts. The ones relating to the transactions I was looking for was mysteriously gone.
Besides that the owner totally scammed us for the money - he also tried to ask me for more money when confronting/asking him about the lost credit card. He claimed, the following day, that we "paid to little" the day before.
It took a very long time to get the food and it was very mediocre. If you take a 5 minute walk to any of the other restaurants you can experience better food and for sure better staff that won't try to pressure you for more money or use your credit card if you accidentally drop it! On top of everything he also offered alcohol to the children way below legal drinking age in Greece! Avoid this place...
Read moreWe had a wonderful experience at KANTAS in Faliraki! The atmosphere is incredibly warm and homey - it truly feels like you’re being welcomed into someone’s family kitchen.
The service was exceptional – we were helped by a very kind man, who might have been the owner. He made us feel so welcome, like old friends coming over for lunch.
The food was absolutely delicious. We started with fresh, homemade bread and the most incredible olive oil – rich, fragrant, and unforgettable. We ordered a Greek salad and moussaka, both of which were outstanding. The vegetables in the salad were homegrown, and you could truly taste the difference – so fresh and full of flavor. The portions were also very generous!
If you’re looking for authentic Greek cuisine, warm hospitality, and a place that feels like home, KANTAS is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be...
