Mama's Kitchen — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

We stayed in Gennadi for a week and all but 2 nights ate at Mama's Kitchen. The staff, food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic. The menu has loads of options and all was cooked and presented to a high standard. As a vegetarian, I chose the vegetarian special all but one night, and I wasn't disappointed. Some restaurants in England could take a leaf out of their book for providing vegetarian options. It was delicious and nothing was left on the plate. My son especially liked the spring rolls and the meatballs 😋

They are also disabled friendly, having ramps at the entrances and a lift to access the toilets.

A great place, should definitely be on your list if you're staying in or close to Gennadi. But make sure you book, as the place gets extremely busy, and rightly so, it's a gem of a restaurant.

Visited for lunch while staying elsewhere on the island. This may only be for lunch service but a little unusual in that the kitchen is in a building on the other side of the road to where we were sitting. A lovely large open area with tables of various sizes with fans to help keep us cool in the heat of the day. The kitchen being over the small road did not impact our visit and the staff are a credit to the owners and literally run between the locations at times to keep up the excellent standard of service. I had traditional Greek food with the rest of the family having more international food and both were excellent. I just wish we had more time to visit again. A note which is important to some, the toilets facilities were nicely decorated and clean to a high standard. They're downstairs from the main level but there is also a lift for those that are...

My family and I spent six wonderful days in Gennadi, and every single day we had lunch and dinner at Mama’s Kitchen. It’s a great place with delicious food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. What stood out to me the most was the amazing grilled octopus. The carbonara pizza, with its rich and creamy flavor, was a hit with the whole family. And the beef stifado, paired with its deep, flavorful sauce, was simply perfect. Our son was thrilled with the kebab and the Margherita pizza. I also have to mention the cheese balls — they were absolutely delightful! The portions are generous and filling. If you ever find yourself in Gennadi, make sure to stop by Mama's Kitchen.
