Ta Mezadakia: A Family Taverna with the Soul and Flavor of Greece!

We truly enjoyed our visit to the family-run Ta Mezadakia taverna! It's more than just a restaurant; it's a place where you can feel the passion for their craft, respect for traditions, and genuine care for each guest. From the moment you step inside, you feel a warm, homey atmosphere, and the welcoming smiles of the staff set the stage for a pleasant evening.

The menu features traditional Greek dishes prepared according to family recipes using the freshest local ingredients. Everything we tried was incredibly delicious and authentic. I especially recommend the meze and grilled fish—it's incredibly fresh—and the octopus—it's superb.

The best place to eat in Gennadi, and perhaps in Rhodes. Been here 7 times throughout 2022-2023, and the place gets only better. Wonderful family-owned tavern, superb fresh food, great, warm and friendly service. A place where you really feel always welcome. Always extra-fresh fish - Mihalis is a great fisherman who brings fish caught in the morning to the table at the evening. Best white gruper I ever tasted. A really warm atmosphere that makes you happy. Inexpensive but yet the best by quality. Don't believe the google ratings of this place with 1-3 stars that appeared out of a sudden in 2023, that's a simple and unfair demafation that has nothing to do with reality you see at the tavern. People that rated that way where not even there, except the one who started this ugly thing - and who's to blame. Locals just love the place as well - seen it myself...

We walked 25 minutes from the Gennadi Grand Resort to Ta Mezedakia and it was more than worth it. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was incredibly warm and friendly.

The food was absolutely fantastic — some of the best meze we’ve had in Greece. The calamari was perfectly cooked and full of flavour, and the mushrooms in white wine sauce were a real highlight. Every dish felt freshly made and authentically Greek.

The owners were so kind and generous, even offering to drive us back to the resort after our meal — a gesture we truly appreciated.
