We ate here two times for dinner during our trip! One of the best interior decorations I have seen in Rhodes! The ambience was amazing. Although we travelled during the fire. There are times when the electricity would shut down. Whispers was not affected which was pretty nice. :)
Starters:
Bbq wings tasted fine. Very saucy. It was what you would expect. Just my own preference, I wish the bbq sauce was just placed on a little container. Grilled well but not dry.
Can never go wrong with fries! Fresh and crispy.
We ordered fries and came With grilled vegetables, I think the vegetables were great.
The carbonara was good however it could have used a little more sauce, a bit dry sometimes. I just wished there was more cheese but tasted very good!
We ordered a Greek salad, there was a variety of vegetables here but I wished there was a little more rockets there.
Main course:
We ordered a T-bone steak pretty late in the night. I was happy they cooked it. As a an avid steak lover, the searing was great and seasoned with salt and pepper. It came with bbq sauce and this oil type sauce on the side. My only critic was that it wasn’t cooked evenly. It was well done outside and as you get towards bone, it was not as cooked as you would want. The sections in between the bone and the outer meat were medium rare which was desired. Although this was the case, how could I complain when they did there best and cooked it so close to closing. I just know if I had gone at a proper time such as 7 or 8pm, that steak would have been perfect! It was till worth its price!
Service:
When the steak was brought out, we were presented with a box of knives that we could choose to eat with our steak ! It felt like a choose your weapon moment which added to our experience. It was an overall positive dinner as you know, we did go twice ! Highly recommend to visit when you’re in the Rhodes...
Read moreAttended Whispers tonight for my mother in laws 80th birthday following numerous reviews. We were not let down. We were met by the owners having been emailing them for the past couple of months and were welcomed like long lost family. They went over and above and guided us to a decorated corner of the restaurant. It was an excellent and personal touch This was just the beginning. Out came the starters and you really must try the Hallumi as it's the best any of us have tasted. The garlic bread was obviously hone made and tasted delightful. Then came the main show of the day, the main courses. Daughter had spaghetti bolognese which was bright, tasty and wholesome. I had a rare T- Bobe Steak , my other half had the Giant Pork Chop and the Birthday girl had the fillet steak, all cooked to perfection with an array of accompaniments all delicately flavoured and cooked. Very well presented and you got to pick your own knife. The service was second to none and the attentive staff made for a very enjoyable night. The prices were surprisingly low considering the quality, quantity and presentation. Well worth a visit next time you...
Read moreBrilliant experience.
We booked a reservation over the phone 30 mins before arriving and were accommodated despite the restaurant being busy.
Greeted with introductions and friendly faces. We were seated at a clean table within the modern restaurant with our plates waiting for us.
Drinks recommendations were provided and food order taken. Drinks were great and food was above expectation. The garlic prawns reminded me of a fishing village holiday in Portugal many years ago. It turns out Rhodes can also cook tender prawns in a full bodied yet light sauce. With lemon water provided for washing hands, it was clear that the expectation was for us to feel at home and use our hands to get all of the meat from the prawns. Our child was given a complimentary ice cream and we were provided with a complimentary local spirit shot.
Pricing is very good and I believe a 10-20% tip is well deserved! This was a breath of fresh air after eating awful all inclusive food for most of...
