Alexandros Taverna - Serifos — Restaurant in Municipality of Serifos

A Warm and friendly welcome which set our expectations maybe a little too high based on our overall experience.

The wife and I ordered steamed mussels at 18€ a portion. Having eaten muscles in a few other restaurants close by (at a much lower price ) we were to say at the least disappointed.

Mussels were overcooked and served open - this may well be the way they intended but having experienced a bad mussel before we both prefer to actually open them ourselves. The sauce they were served in also was too sour for our liking. A total miss.

One of the kids ordered spaghetti bolognese , a generous portion to be fair, which was eaten once we’d managed to get the waiters attention to ask for som ketchup.

Our oldest was feeling more adventurous and went for the fried squid and a side of french fries. They arrived 15 minutes apart. The fries were severely undercooked and heavily salted. A shame.

The service was friendly but crazy and hectic, which may explain the quality of food, even though the restaurant didn’t seem that busy.

Whilst bread came on the table quickly after being seated, food started to arrive in a random order and even before the drinks.

Only after a few reminders did the beer, 3 sprites and mojito arrive. So not the most complicated of orders.

There notably seemed to be quite a lot of confusion around a few orders in the restaurant. We were served other people’s dishes a few times , before they were hastily removed, ran back to the kitchen , and then reappeared headed for the right table.

To be fair there seemed to be a lot of running around with very little aim or meaning, whilst who I assume was the owner , looked on from a far.

Maybe the confusion was due to the evenings entertainment who was consistently making a hash of the usual acoustic classics.

Definitely but a damper on the atmosphere which otherwise was probably the most appealing thing about this place.

To be fair maybe they just had a bad day , but Thank god we got some bread otherwise I’d have a “hangry” family...

This restaurant is a hidden gem with an absolutely stunning location right on the beach, perfect for a relaxed meal with friends. The food is simply delicious, with a great variety of fresh and flavorful dishes that cater to all tastes. Every bite reflects the care and quality put into the preparation.

We loved it so much that we went there twice during our stay, and both visits were equally fantastic!

The service was outstanding – the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. They truly go above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience.

the food was ok, i ordered some greek food -beans stuffed in tomatos and peppers but it didn’t look pleasant at all, taste was okay tho.. my Friend whom doesn’t eat pork ordered a beef burger…. it came with some bacon, maybe something to extend on the menue so people know. at the end they added water even tho we didn’t get any or ordered, i know 1.50 for water aint much but i have a problem with putting stuff on our bill that we didn’t order. overall the staff were friendly and it’s a...
