Maybe the best place in Livadi. The disadvantage is that it is located in the crowd of restaurants with very limited space and with tables being literally one next to the other to the point that you almost share your dinner with the tables that are around yours. However this is a generic situation for livadi. In terms of food, the quality is good and the service is amazing. People are very polite and helpful. True professionals. The choices are many from the menu mainly focusing to sea food. We had the Wine Salad which is interesting but the execution was not successful. Too sweet for salad, missing the balance. The turokouloura was very tasty as well as the tartar of tuna with avocado. The best dish was the fresh kalamari with rovitsa. I asked the staff if we could have as side vlita instead of rovitsa because of onion intolerance and they happily made the change. In addition, at the end of the meal they offered us mastic liqueur and an orange pie which was a revelation!! I am not a sweets person and I was totally surprised by this amazing desert...only for this the place deserves a visit. Do not miss this amazing desert!! The combination with cinnamon gelato drives the dish out of this world!!!again...not an ice cream person however I was once again surprised! The price is a bit over however they totally compensated us with this amazing desert..btw it is one of the few places in the island offering something at the end!!and this is something...
Read moreWhilst the view from the waterfront was great, the full experience didn’t match. First off, the menu is hard to interpret as to what was fresh seafood and what isn’t as the denoted asterisks next to each menu item meant several different things. We asked but then become more confused. Before we ordered, the customary bits came out, including a large bottle of water and some delicious olives which was nice touch. Anyway, we talked over and menu and tried our luck on what was fresh. I had the prawn pasta, and my partner the grilled shrimp. Both dishes did seem fresh but the pasta to prawn ratio was way off - I got 4 small prawns with about a pack of pasta which was incredibly salty and gave me a numb bottom lip. My partner had the grilled shrimp which were huge and fresh. Didn’t feel like getting photos, just wasn’t that impressed overall but the view is lovely, and if you like cats, they are friendly too. I see this place has ratings of 4s, so maybe we just got a dud order but be weary of the inconsistency. As always in Greece, everyone was lovely and service...
Read moreMy husband and I visited Serifos in April, and we had a wonderful time at this restaurant, both times we went! (We loved the food, the chef, and staff so much we went back a second time.) Not only was the food delicious and beautifully presented, but the chef prepares his dishes with such passion! He absolutely loves to cook, and to prepare unique desserts, and takes pride in doing those things well. It was not the busy season yet, so he came out to chat with us and check to see how we were enjoying our meal. The whole staff made us feel like honored guests. Unfortunately I don’t have lots of food pictures, but I can show you a wonderful cheesecake he asked us to sample that was very flavorful and unusual. It had apricots on top, and was different than any I have had, because of the type of cheese he prepared it with. They use locally sourced ingredients, which is always a plus. We will be traveling back to Athens next year, and will take the ferry for a day to Serifos just so we can return to this...
