While wandering through the charming streets of Kastro after visiting the little church perched on the cliffside, we stumbled upon Astro Taverna — a beautiful, inviting spot that instantly caught our eye. A short climb up the stairs led us to a small balcony dotted with tables and chairs, overlooking the picturesque surroundings.
The atmosphere felt truly authentic, with a menu full of traditional Greek dishes. Arriving late and feeling tired and hungry, we went for comforting, quick bites — sharing a Greek salad, feta, and saganaki to start. For mains, we each had spaghetti with meat sauce — the Greek take on spaghetti bolognese. While the pasta was simple, it completely hit the spot, and I polished off every bite.

The meatballs was nothing special unfortunately, but not bad either. The bread was no good. I 'll go back just for the salad and the nice owners/employees. Update: Went back to the restaurant a couple of days later. The personnel was very kind and made sure to move us to a table with a nice view, as soon as it was available. I wanted to stress that, because we were just two people and the could have given the table to bigger companies. Tried the semi sweet wine this time, very good. Prices just fine for the quality and...
