I am not one to write reviews, but in this occasion I feel like I have to. We are a couple that we are both fools for Greek food and always try the local cuisine whenever we visit Greece. On our last day to Sifnos, we were recommended to visit Kastro for an evening walk as it is too hot during the day. On our way, we walked by Stiadi restaurant which is located at the entrance. After checking the online reviews, we decided to give it a try. Stiadi is run by a group of young people with passion for what they do. At first glance, we saw beautifully decorated dishes, thinking that this is another expensive restaurant that is experimenting with food. We were very wrong. Everything we tasted had fresh and traditional Greek flavours but with a view of a dish that you only see in "gourmet" restaurants. The ingredients were so full of flavour! We chose a dish of the day's specials, orzotto, along with other picks from the menu. We also chose the pistachio dessert (one is enough for two people), which was the cherry on top of this whole experience. Unfortunately for us, we were leaving the next morning and we didn't have the chance of visiting Stiadi again, which we would have definitely done if we could. We definitelly recommend it to anyone who appreciates good food. Don't forget to ask for the day's specials, you will be...

Stiadi is a fantastic restaurant with truly exceptional food. They specialise in local seafood and everything is exceedingly well presented and well seasoned. I would have loved to take more pictures, but I devoured most of the dishes before I'd had time to think.

The service was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The patrons were a mix of locals and tourists, which was a good sign.

During the meal they played a rather eclectic mix of music. There were some fairly strange choices for playlist inclusion, but there was more good than bad.

This was certainly not a cheap meal coming in at €165 for 6 plates, 2 beers, a bottle of sparkling water and a 20© tip. That said, the service and quality was well worth it and I certainly did not begrudge paying the bill.

Overall, Stiadi is an exceptional restaurant with a friendly and welcoming team behind it. I highly recommend visiting while in Kastro, you will not be...

i don’t usually rate places the full 5 stars but i believe STIADI deserves it! food was made, plated and served just like a fine dining restaurant but was very affordably priced. the staff were very welcoming and hospitable. the beet salad (2nd pic) and the tuna steak (6th pic) were really good. the salad was very refreshing with different flavour profiles somehow combining perfectly. the tuna steak somehow tasted and felt like actual steak but it was fish???? amazing. the fried cod (5th pic) was very interesting because i’ve never had cod mashed together, only as a slab of fish. honestly everything was really good, just that the cheese balls (4th pic) had mint and i’m personally not a fan of mint in my food but the others in my party said it added a really unique flavour so everything really was good!

definitely worth trying~ the whole place is run by young people trying to revive and reimagine their local dishes into...
