"Σταύρος" ψαροταβέρνα - εστιατόριο — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

We (a group of 4) arrived around 9:30 pm. All the tables were occupied, there was only one table whose tenants had just left, and we were directed there by the staff. We waited no less than 30 minutes before the empty dirty dishes from the previous customer were removed. We waited another 15 minutes before the main waiter came to take our orders at around 10:15 pm. We ordered 5 dishes: greek salad, grilled sardines and saganaki cheese which came pretty soon (in around 15 min); and grilled squid and steak (which took around 15 minutes longer, understandably). We weren’t served any bread. The food was quite good (nothing out of the ordinary). However, because the waiter didn’t bring any cutlery while preparing the table or with the first dishes, neither of us could start our dinner. We told this to multiple waiters at least 3 times, but we were met with quick excuses “just a minute”, after which the waiters kept on doing their business, which accounted to cleaning other now mostly empty tables. When we confronted the main waiter, he glanced over and reprimanded one of the other waiters, but still no cutlery for another 10 minutes. Finally, as we were running out of patience, all our cutlery (4 sets) was dropped on the edge of the table, wrapped in one single dinner napkin… After finishing our dinner, the main waiter also didn’t bring the addition that we asked for when we paid our bill. Since you are a restaurant established in 1984 you really should know this, but let me give this ONE PIECE OF ADVICE. When a customer asks you to bring some tableware that you really ought to have brought 30 minutes ago, you drop whatever nonsense you’re doing and attend to them, and only then resume taking away empty dishes from some other empty table. The waiters all have some sort of microphone headset, I don’t know what they are using them for, but certainly not to communicate. UNBELIEVABLY...

I definitely don't recommend this restaurant! When they brought us the bill we had a surprise, we had to pay more than we expected. It was written in Greek so that we couldn't understand it. When we asked the waiter to explain why we had to pay more, he told us that we had ordered calamari, but actually we had ordered and eaten fried zucchini. The bread was also written on the bill even though we had told them we didn't need it and the waiter knew that very well. Also, we had to wait tens of minutes to order, to get the food, to get the bill... And the restaurant was not full at all. Whenever we called the waiters they were pretending not to see us! Their attitude is horrible! The food was not impressive and many of the dishes were not available although they were in the menu, we had to find something else every time because they didn't have...

Kann die positiven Bewertungen hier gar nicht nachvollziehen. Es ist der schlimmste Restaurant in dem wir in unsere Urlaub gegessen haben! Und ausgerechnet am letzten Tag haben wir das hier erwischt. Das Menü sah gut aus, ähnlich den anderen Lokalen in der Gegend. Die erste Warnleuchte ist angegangen als mein Quinoa-gegrilltes Gemüse-frische Salat mit Balsamico-Dressing gerade nach 5 Minuten kam. Im großen Teller war maximal eine Handvoll Salat, wenn überhaupt insgesamt. Wohl gemerkt alle Salaten in der Gegend reichten bis jetzt locker sogar für zwei. Und das auch bei niedrigem Preis. Quinoa und das gegrilltes Gemüse waren allem Anschein nach schnell aufgetaut, denn Quinoa war hart und noch teilweise in Klumpen zusammengeklebt. Gemüse war kalt und hat nach nichts geschmeckt. Kein Dressing war vorhanden! 7 Euro hat der Spaß gekostet. Die andere Gerichte kamen dann auch ganz schnell nacheinander. Die überbackenen mit Feta gefüllte Aubergine kam nach etwa 10 min nach Bestellung. Wie man das schafft? Die Aubergine war wohl vorgekocht und dann schnell mit Käse belegt und in den Backofen oder sogar Mikrowelle geschoben. Anderes kann man es nicht erklären. Die Haut war hart, wie Lorbeerblätter. Das Weichteil hatte Schaumstoffkonsistenz und hat auch so geschmeckt. Der Feta hatte gar keine Kruste, als wenn es überbacken wäre. Bolognese von meinem Sohn kam nach gleich nach meinem Salat. War ebenfalls sehr klein ausgefallen. Laut meinem Sohn waren es 3-EUR-Nudeln mir Soße aus der Packung. Na, klar in 6 min kann man nicht einmal Nudeln kochen, wenn man erst Wasser kochen muss! Und dann noch Soße in dem Sprinttempo hinzubekommen ist einfach unmöglich! Vermutung es war alles vorgekocht und einfach in der Mikrowelle erwärmt liegt nahe. Ah, und sie haben 3 EUR fürs Brot abgerechnet, den wir nicht mal bestellt und nicht gegessen haben. Den Rest erspare ich mir. Für Gäste unzumutbar und für ein Restaurant in der ersten Linie einfach peinlich. Wir haben am Ende 60 EUR bezahlt und meine beide „Männer“ sind danach noch hungrig gewesen. Es war unser schlechtestes und teuerstes Essen in unserem 10-tägigen Griechenland-Urlaub. Wir haben uns alle sehr ver…scht gefühlt....
