SAFETY NEWS - Well I don’t know if that’s interesting for all of you but when I stayed there it was really dangerous there AND 2 men almost died.
The waves were super high and strong. It happened that 2 men got lost and the lifeguards couldn’t really help them since they weren’t able. However it took them almost 2 hours to rescues the men. I was really shocked and I felt sorry for all people since all of them tried there best. But there were no boats and no one could reach them. I think it was the water flow that brought the men back. Both of them got reanimated and drove away with the ambulance.
Well I think it’s actually no ones fault - maybe the men at their own since I don’t get it why would you swim under these circumstance - but the water flags were still green. So keep in mind that you probably check by yourself if you can trust the water and especially for kids!
For sure this entire story isn’t my business but it really affects me the entire day because every one was scared, afraid, running and screaming. Sharing this I will avoid you from a...
Read moreSarti Beach offers a breathtaking view of the sacred Mount Athos, making it a truly dreamy location. However, the beauty of the landscape is overshadowed by the severe lack of cleanliness. The beach is unfortunately littered with plastic waste and cigarette butts, with no apparent effort made to maintain the environment. Broken bean bags spill Styrofoam pellets across the sand, and nobody seems to care. There is absolutely no awareness or effort towards sustainability and environmental protection.
While the sunbeds are free of charge if you make a purchase, the beach becomes overcrowded and noisy during peak season. It’s a shame to see such a beautiful place treated with such disregard. We will definitely not be returning unless there’s a significant change in how the beach is managed, with a proper sustainability concept in place. As it stands, it feels like people here are living as if there's no tomorrow, with plastic straws and cigarette butts...

There’s an amazing view of Mt Athos from anywhere on the beach. The sand is good, and the water is light blue-green, clear, and mostly with a sandy bottom. However, …
I believe its geography makes it windy all the time. There’s no natural obstacle in front of the wind current sweeping the Sithonia-Athon corridor.l If you don’t like wind, there probably are better beaches. (I could barely swim at 11 am, and I’m a decent swimmer, and all other Sithonia places I visited had flat water at that hour.). If you want to sail (or surf, maybe?), though, probably a good spot.
Given the windy conditions, the Beach Bars might have better prices and / or conditions (I gave a separate 5-star...
