Barba Yorgos Tavern — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

I ate here once, and never again. The food was shockingly bad. My wife and kids refused to eat, but I forced myself because I was extremely hungry and had already paid for the awful food they served.

The meat was overcooked, burnt in places, dry, tough, and completely tasteless. The fries were undercooked, with raw, hard potato inside. The menu was printed on burnt papers with no descriptions of the dishes.

We had to wait 45 minutes for our order, even though the place was not busy at all.

As soon as I walked into the tavern garden, I told my wife this probably wasn’t going to be good—because you can often judge a place by how well it is maintained. Everything here was neglected: dirty, rusty, broken. The awnings were falling apart, the grapevine wires were collapsing, and branches were hanging down.

The entire place was filthy and clearly shows how careless and sloppy...

Wannabe greek restaurant, but isn't. We came with the family and didn't like any of the dishes. Even the french fries were not good (how difficult is to make simple french fries?), didn't seem to be fresh. Chairs with childish drawings look ridiculous, nothing from traditional greek atmosphere. Above everything absolutely terrible service, you'll wait crazy long even with half-full restaurant. I really don't understand those positive reviews, mainly from Czech adoring that a Czech has a restaurant in Greece. The owner should rather open a Czech restaurant, because they really cannot prepare proper greek food. Pricewise you'll also find cheaper and much better...

I’ve been in sarti for 10 days and on the last night we decided to eat at this restaurant. A very bad decision. The service is slow and we waited a lot for the food. The food is tasteless, very, nothing to remember. The mixed sea fruit plate had only one shrimp and a lot of small fishes. The restaurant itself is very poor looking, the bathrooms are dirty. They forgot to bring the forks and knives and there were no napkins to wipe your hands on. i wouldn’t recomend this restaurant. I don’t want to be rude but please, all of you that gave 5 stars to this place, please go out more. This restaurant has nothing...
