Taverna Giorgakis — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

We decided to have dinner at Giogakis, because of all the good reviews here. And actually it was good overall, but we've had some serious issues which is why I'm giving them 3 stars. All the tables outside were busy, except one and we took it. The order was taken and...then the waiting began. After about 20-30 minutes the waitress noticed that we were still sitting on an empty table and asked the kitchen...well obviously they haven't even started our order. Immediately after that they put the meat on the grill and the waitress came to apologize with the excuse "there was a problem with the grill" which is so dummy, knowing that we're sitting right next to the kitchen and saw everything 😁 Nevermind, the food was coming and we were fine with it. The gyro plate came and it was all good, except for the fact it had onion for which I requested to be removed from the plate when ordering. That wasn't even the main problem...the other plate came which was supposed to be with Chicken fillet and fries. The chicken wasn't fillet, but chicken thighs with the skin and it was still raw (they were in a hurry). When we complained about that the waitress said that "fillet" means boneless meat...

BE AWARE! This is a place to avoid!!! The drinks will be brought to you after 15 minutes from the order, the beer will be warm because they don't have the possibility to cool it down. The food is waiting longer, while the ingredients are from military reserves! The potatoes are cold and fried three times, the bread only twice, the meat is of questionable origin, but the tomatoes are fresh and tasty! If you are vegan, great choice. There is no salt on any table, and when you take 10 packets, for seven guests, the friendly staff of the "restaurant" jumps at you and snatches it from your hands! The calculation is waiting for a long time, while they are dealing with the magic of mathematics! If you are hungry and find yourself nearby, bypass this...

The service is fine, the menu is in a lot of different languages so is a big chance you’ll find yours. The beer came in a frozen pint and is also very good - I had mythos. For the food I have a very big issue. I ordered shrimp saganaki and some of them were not properly cleaned. The poop vein was there and full🤢 this is unacceptable for a restaurant no matter how low. I was very disappointed of that, because those that I already ate were tasty. My boyfriend had pork gyros in pita and was pretty good. The cucumber and tomatoes salad was also good.
