Among the many dining options in Neo Marmaras central, Gyro Port immediately caught my attention with their impressive, large gyros prominently displayed - and they definitely lived up to first impressions! The Experience What drew me in was watching the staff work in the open kitchen area where you can see the generous gyros being prepared fresh. The place was quite busy, which is always a good sign, and the energy was infectious. Despite the crowds, the team kept up with orders efficiently.
The real highlight is the waterfront seating - we enjoyed our meal sitting right by the water with lovely views of the harbor. It’s the perfect spot to relax and take in the Neo Marmaras scenery while enjoying your food.
We ordered 4 chicken gyros with drinks, and I was pleasantly surprised by both the quality and value. The portions were genuinely generous - no skimping here! The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the prime waterfront location. This is definitely not a tourist trap, which can be rare to find in such a scenic spot.
Gyro Port delivers on all fronts: fresh food, great location, fair prices, and generous portions. The combination of being able to watch your food being made fresh while enjoying harbor views makes for a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for both the food quality and...
Read moreI visited the restaurant twice. The first time, part of our order was forgotten, which seemed strange to me since we went over the order together with the waiter. The second time, not only was part of the order (French fries) forgotten again, but after a while I reminded them about the fries. Fifteen minutes after the reminder, I asked what was happening with them, and I was told they were being cooked — which was amusing, because the kitchen is open and you can see piles of ready-made fries. Thirty minutes after the reminder, I asked for the bill, and I was asked what we should do about the fries. I replied that I could see the restaurant was full and the waiters were running around, but half an hour for fries is too much, especially when I can literally see them, and our table was right next to the counters. The waitress just shrugged her shoulders. The food is tasty, the prices are slightly above average, which is normal for a resort area. I attribute the poor service to the staff being overworked and...
Read moreEdit after the owners response: No mistakes were made, it was your store, and we had to make 2 remarks to the waitress for her to notify the kitchen and prepare our order. Your personnel was kind and apologetic about the incident, but the delay was there.
Original review: Ordered a large pork gyros and two ceasars salads. The gyros was okay, the ceasars were very low on chicken (compared to what other places in the area offer), but otherwise fresh and tasty. Bit overpriced for the portion size, not very competitive price wise. The most irritating thing was that we had to wait 50 minutes to be served the said food that we ordered due to the personnel miscommunication (it was not during rush hours, the store was roughly empty when we arrived initially). Other than that, the service was friendly, but...
