Mandala Alter Tavern — Restaurant in Municipality of Sithonia

If you're visiting Vourvourou and want a truly memorable dining experience, Mandala Restaurant is an absolute gem. Everything we tried was top-quality, both in taste and presentation.

🍅 The burrata with cherry tomatoes was a burst of freshness — perfectly seasoned, drizzled with just the right amount of olive oil and herbs. The creamy texture of the burrata combined with the sweet, marinated tomatoes and fresh basil made for a perfect starter. The toasted bread was golden and crisp, with a touch of oregano and sea salt — simple, yet delicious.

🥩 The grilled pork belly was exceptional — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. You can taste the quality of the meat and the subtle spices used. It came with crispy golden fries, fresh pita, and a lovely salad with bulgur and feta that added a fresh Mediterranean touch. Every bite was perfectly balanced.

🦐 The seafood pasta was a standout — the shrimp were large, succulent, and cooked to perfection, while the squid rings were tender and not chewy at all.

PERFECT & TRADITIONAL. Are a lot of tourist traps in every place in the world. Well, this is a true greek taverna. It is and it looks exactly how a traditional family-owned greek taverna has to be. It's In my top 2 greek tavernas in Greece. We ate there at least 6 times, it was always excellent. Very good food ( seafood , beef, pork, chicken , salads etc). Not everybody likes seafood, so you have to ask exactly what it is, they would explain you. I mean, if you don't know what it is and how it's made ( fried, boiled, raw), you have to ask. The difference between fried and grilled kalamari is huge, for instance. Awesome octopus stifado, btw. Very good traditional greek music, very nice atmosphere. The guys are genuine. Everything is genuine there. No sword dance, no fake syrtaki , no fireworks, everything is natural. ...

One of the best tavern in Sithonia-Vourvourou .we just pop in,relax and enjoy our holiday. But when the food starting 2arrieved,it was rainbow on palate.special thanks 2 Iraklis,one of their best waiter and his team,including chefs.tzaziki home made is the best and awesome Tzaziki,authentique greek ever eat it My wife order roze semi-sweet local wine,an especially one.words R not enough,so maybe checking pictures below you will taste it.
