This review is for the Veneti 1948 branch between Gates C31 and C32 at Athens airport. I got there, first in the queue, and waited patiently to be addressed by the staff when they were finished with what they were doing and were ready to talk to me. I waited exactly at the spot where I had to queue a month before at the very same branch. My reward for my patience was a barrage of insults because I ought to have waited by the till instead. My crime must have been grave to justify the humiliation I had to endure by the middle aged woman with the short blond hair and eyebrow piercings. Her negative energy radiated, her rudeness astonished; congratulations to Venetis for employing staff who treat customers like garbage. By the way, in the meantime, other customers had gathered and some thought I was now jumping the queue because suddenly I had to go to the till. For the record, I was traveling with four children and spent €24.20 on this occasion in this branch (see receipt). Also the “hot” cappuccinos were served cold. I read elsewhere that someone found a needle in their sandwich at the same branch. I would rather eat a needle than give my custom to...
Read moreVENETIS is a bakery with chain branches that opened in Athens in 1948 and has grown by producing delicious products ever since. They have branches in different parts of Greece, most of them in Athens. Their branches are in different concepts and they offer products from wood ovens in their 1948 concept branches.
Due to the fact that it is at the airport, the products in this branch are more expensive than usual. I can say that the taste is the same as the other branches. At other hours, I suggest you take a look and choose the ones that look good, or ask the staff.
Although it is strange that many of the employees at the airport branch do not speak English, they can be communicated somehow. I saw that this was a problem in the comments, but I think we shouldn't get too hung up on such things. The reason I gave an average rating is because of their pricing policy and the fact that they can't always offer...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to visit Veneti 1948, a bakery located in the airport of Athens. This bakery is open 24 hours a day, making it a convenient option for travelers looking for a quick snack or meal at any time of day.
The prices at Veneti 1948 are quite accessible, which is always a plus when traveling. While the food I tried was good, it didn't exactly blow my mind. However, it was definitely tasty enough for a quick snack, especially if you find yourself needing something to eat overnight.
One thing that stood out to me about Veneti 1948 was the large variety of pastries and drinks available. Whether you're in the mood for a sweet treat or a hot cup of coffee, you're sure to find something to satisfy your cravings at this bakery.
Overall, I would recommend Veneti 1948 to anyone looking for a quick and convenient option for food at the airport. While the food may not be mind-blowing, the accessible prices and variety of options make it a solid choice for a snack or...
