I recently had the pleasure of dining at an Italian restaurant the AL VACCHIO PORTO that I can safely say is one of the best in island.From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was going to be special. The warm and welcoming atmosphere, with soft lighting and comfortable seating, immediately put me at ease. The menu was full of tempting options, but I decided to start with the nice and fresh caprese salad and prosciutto slices with melon to share with my companion. all of which were fresh and flavorful For the main course I chose the classic pasta alla carbonara, which did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and topped with a creamy sauce that was rich without being too heavy. The dish was finished with crispy pancetta and a generous sprinkling of freshly grated parmesan, which added a nice salty bite.. Overall, I highly recommend this Italian restaurant for those looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience. Worst restaurant in Spetses! We were sat on the beach which resembled an ash tray - cigarette butts everywhere. The staff were rude and sullen and did not want to be serving people and made it especially known. Felt like we were being rushed to get us out of there - our main course arrived before we had finished our starters. No apology. Don’t get me started on the food.
