I need to agree with mr.Ferm, the portion is very small, everybody said symis shrimp's are the best, but I not really like it, but its maybe only me, the greek salad could be better, big tomato's, big paprika, small feta and it swam in olive oil, olives with nubs, the french fries is better in mc Donald's, I am sorry, but maybe it's again my opinion, my preferences, I though I am eating boiled potatoes with some spice, hm..also nobody was inside but I came around 18:10 and they are opening at 18. So maybe that's why..all together was 31 eur what is quiet expensive and the people who are living there said they are doing this with tourists that they ask more because they know they will not come back what is very bad if it's true, because for some people it is a very big amount, also for me, in my country we can eat a big portion and three persons at this price, but maybe the price is also because it's directly on symis port, but..next day I went rather to buy something and prepare the food by myself, it's a pitty...I wanted to pay by card , they have also a stick on the door that you can pay by card and the lady said : maybe better in cash? Well..I am working in hotel and I know better is cash but I preferred to pay by card...but my mistake was that I paid in cash, I could stay after paying by card after what they told me..and I didnt receive any receipt, on paper or cash register..she wrote something on paragon and sum it by calculator, I didn't check because I was on holiday but now I will..:) it's a family business, but this is not good view in front of the customer..why I didn't receive any receipt..my mistake was not stay by paying by card and ask also a receipt ..so all together didn't leave a good picture in my eyes..but I had the owner like this unfortunately that we needed to ask the guests to pay in cash , the card machine is not working so...I don't know..I would not go there back, I am sorry, I hope this will help to be better in the future :) maybe somebody liked it there, but me personally not :) I prepared today a Greek salad and it is much much better :) you need to cut the vegetables to smaller pieces, a little less olive oils and you need to cook the french fries longer..the price was very expensive , unfortunately, but in the centre of Slovakia , you pay even more in some restaurants because of the location :-/ I realised that I don't like the food in any country :-) I rather buy something..maybe I didn't have...
Read moreI rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. The service was incredibly slow and rude—no greeting, no check-ins, and we felt completely ignored. When the food finally arrived, it was cold, poorly prepared, and lacked flavor. Nothing matched what was described on the menu.
We left hungry, disappointed, and frustrated. Definitely not worth the money or the time. Avoid this place!!!!!
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I understand that managing a busy restaurant can be challenging, especially when reservations change unexpectedly.
I want to clarify that there was some miscommunication within our group, and I truly didn’t intend to cause disruption or inconvenience to your team or other guests. I appreciate that you made an effort to accommodate what you believed was a larger party.
As for the service and food, I shared my honest impressions, both good and bad. At the time, we may have responded politely when asked, but that doesn’t always reflect the full experience. I understand that the restaurant was crowded, and I respect the effort your team put in under pressure.
Regarding the comment about my review history—while I value constructive criticism, I hope future responses to feedback focus on the situation at hand rather than personal remarks.
Again, I appreciate your response, and I wish you continued...
Read moreO Haris… How can I get this message across adequately? Dine here at least once before you die!! This is the best food I’ve ever eaten. Anywhere. Not just in Greece, but anywhere! Exceptional doesn’t do it justice! A most wonderful family owned and run business. The owner, his wife, his daughter and son in law, all working in perfect harmony. Attention to detail, excellent service, sumptuous food, delightful setting ….this place has it ALL! I returned here again having been here six years ago. The memory of that meal was enough to bring me back again. I was a little concerned that it might have been a one-off and that going there again might ruin the perfect memory I had. I had no need to worry! This time it was every bit as good as the previous time. This is what a proper restaurant is like. The food is beyond comparison. Thank you SO much for maintaining such a high standard for years and years on end. If you visit Symi you MUST eat here. Simply unbeatable. We plan to return here on our honeymoon...
