Porte Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Symi

Staff were rude, refused to serve smoothies to the table as it was “past breakfast” despite a group of young girls drinking them next to us. After asking to cancel a drinks order the waiter went back into the building and opened the bottle so we could no longer cancel it. A member of the party was bursting for a poo and after using one of the toilets was victim to an angry shouting at by the woman waiter. The prices are horrendous €11.50 for 2 drinks we could have got double the amount of drinks for this price from one of the surrounding bars. Cheeky attitude disgusting tone of voice towards our party. AVOID UNLESS YOURE INTO THAT!!!!

Edit: after seeing the response from the owner I can confirm none of my party were in dirty swim suits the only dirty thing in that restaurant was the interior and the attitude of the staff if you were gonna give us a limited menu at least tell us that before we sit down. It is clear that from the response the owners do not care about customer satisfaction I am not the first one to comment on the attitude of the staff avoid these money hungry rude people !!!! Unless you are a girl and I think that says more about the owner...

We went to porte cafe to have for breakfast (yogurt and fruit) 3 mornings in a row, and once for a drink before dinner. The owner was very angry and tense. She treated us the best on the last day. The first day she didn't let us order coffee in advance of our breakfast. She said if we want to drink just coffee we have to take it take away. We clarified and said we will have breakfast after our coffee, nevertheless she made us order breakfast that moment. On the second day we arrived to breakfast 8 minutes before opening time in the morning and sat at a table. She sent her employee to the table and we said there is no problem and that we could wait. She looked at us from the door and slammed the door on us. She yelled at the employee inside. We felt uncomfortable so left and returned 15 minutes later - we got no form of apology from the manager or any other member of staff. Really nice location, good breakfast options but...

Came here yesterday… I would have enjoyed drowning in the sea more. We first arrived and my friend was denied access to a toilet and was verbally attacked by a women. The second she saw British tourists her face was like a slapped bottom and she had looked as if I had just run over her dog. We sat down and ordered drinks. My boyfriend was denied a smoothie claiming “only at breakfast” however behold… two Greek girls sat drinking the same one he had ordered. Our entire time here was quite frankly awful, we had what seemed to be a “security guard” In reality a small lanky built like the side of a fiver pathetic excuse of a man watching us like a hawke as if we were some poo on his sandal. Honestly would rather excrete in my hands and clap then spend another second at this so...
