Filippos — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

I happened to dine there when there was a "Greek Night" show with music and typical dance that involved the customers, had a lo of fun. The waiters are very kind. The restaurants around are all very beautiful, but Filippo's has preserved the look of a Greek tavern, where others are a bit on the modern side for me. The food is good just like it is in most places in Santorini.The price is a bit lower in comparison to the sorrounding restaurants on the beach but higher then those of taverns in Perissa/Perivolos that don't face the beautiful beach and Santorini is not cheap in general. If I really had to look for a glitch in the recipes, I'd say the Moussaka and the Pastizio were a bit dry, I'd have put more...

We were looking for a local spot to get a lighter evening meal with our heart set on gyros. The restaurant was subject to the loud bass music from next door which wasn’t ideal. But worse still, the chicken gyros might as well have been microwaved out of a packet, the fries had no taste and were barely warm. And the lettuce leaf and two slices of tomato hardly justified an accompanying salad. The place was swarming with flies and they had run out of most desserts. Needless to say I (nor the several people sat behind us complaining) would not recommend...

Overpriced food for the portions served. Stuffed vegetables were soaked in oil, potatoes served with them were soggy and under cooked. Nothing we ordered was fresh. Everything had either been frozen or stored for days. Chicken was so dry I felt like I was eating potato chips. The pizza was the most disgusting and horrendous thing I have ever eaten. It tasted like a cherry pie drenched in ketchup and covered with copious amounts cheese. I wouldn't feed this...
