You can reach the beach by taking the public bus from Fira to Perissa, but get off at the Perivolos stop (about a 35 minute ride). It seems like most of the restaurants on the shore have free chairs and umbrellas for customers. We got gyro plates at DoDos for about 15€ each and got complimentary chairs. Most restaurants/bars offer free umbrella & sunbeds if you order something. This is very good, unlike many other beaches where you pay 10-15€ just for the sunbeds & umbrella.
