A Hidden Gem in Santorini – Consistent, Delicious Food with Top-Notch Service!
We stumbled upon Santo Resto during our holiday in Santorini and were blown away. My wife, our 4-month-old baby, and I had dinner there, and it was so good that we ordered from them again the next day to our hotel, the Ambassador. The food was just as amazing the second time—same great taste, same high quality.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us pick out the best dishes. The restaurant itself felt like a hidden 5-star spot, so clean and welcoming, it was a real treat.
Now onto the food—the chicken burger was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor (you can see it in the photos). The gyro wrap? Hands down the best we’ve had here, so fresh and delicious. And the prices? Very reasonable for what you get.

I always wanted to stop but for whatever reason it just never happened, until our last day in Santorini that is! We made it a point to go there for lunch and man were we glad we did! I had the classic burger with fries and my wife had the chicken spring rolls as an appetizer and the chicken gyro platter as her main. The burger was absolutely huge and delicious (or as our waiter said “not delicious, GRILL-icious!”!!) my wife loved the gyro platter but had thought the chicken spring rolls were going to be like we’re used to in Canada: small and bite-sized. Torniamo dal bagno e troviamo sul tavolo una bottiglia d'acqua APERTA con l'acqua versata nei bicchieri (qualsiasi bevanda viene stappata davanti al cliente) aldilà del fatto che non l'avevamo mica richiesta (ovviamente l'abbiamo pagata), finisco di cenare qualche minuto prima di mia moglie e il cameriere ha sparecchiato completamente tutta la mia parte in modo inappropriato e invasivo dato che non avevamo finito entrambi di mangiare. Signor titolare per il bene del suo locale faccia fare un corso professionale ai camerieri perché non sanno neanche sparecchiare. Per concludere in bellezza, arriviamo alla casa per pagare e ci viene ordinato di andarci a risedere al tavolo per il conto. Le nostre facce esprimevano ovviamente lo sgomento. We return from the bathroom and we find on the table an OPEN water bottle with the water poured into the glasses (any drink is uncorked in front of the customer) beyond the fact that we had not requested it (obviously we paid for it), I finish dinner a few minutes before my wife and the waiter completely cleared all my portion in an inappropriate and invasive way as we both had not finished eating. Mr. Owner, for the sake of your restaurant, let the waiters take a professional course because they don't even know how to clear the table. To top it off, we arrive at the house to pay and we are ordered to go and sit back at the table for the bill. Our faces obviously expressed dismay. When the waiter brought us the bill he asked us a million times if everything was okay. Greek: Δειπνήσαμε. Τα δύο αστέρια τα αναθέτω μόνο γιατί το κρέας και τα προϊόντα είναι ποιοτικά. Το απολύτως επώδυνο σημείο είναι η υπηρεσία. Επιστρέφουμε από το μπάνιο και βρίσκουμε στο τραπέζι ένα ΑΝΟΙΧΤΟ μπουκάλι νερό με το νερό να χύνεται στα ποτήρια (κάθε ποτό ξεφύλλεται μπροστά στον πελάτη) πέρα από το γεγονός ότι δεν το είχαμε ζητήσει (προφανώς το πληρώσαμε). Τελειώνω το δείπνο λίγα λεπτά πριν η γυναίκα μου και ο σερβιτόρος καθαρίσουν εντελώς όλη τη μερίδα μου με ακατάλληλο και επεμβατικό τρόπο καθώς και οι δύο δεν είχαμε τελειώσει το φαγητό. Κύριε Ιδιοκτήτη, για χάρη του εστιατορίου σας, αφήστε τους σερβιτόρους να κάνουν επαγγελματικό μάθημα γιατί δεν ξέρουν καν να καθαρίσουν το τραπέζι. Για να το κλείσουμε, φτάνουμε στο σπίτι για να πληρώσουμε και μας διατάσσουν να πάμε και να καθίσουμε αναπαυτικά στο τραπέζι για τον λογαριασμό. Τα πρόσωπά μας εξέφραζαν προφανώς απογοήτευση.
