Geromanolis Restaurant was, without a doubt, the best local dining experience we had during our stay in Santorini—nestled in the charming village of Megalochori. 🇬🇷💙While we had the chance to try several other restaurants, including some with higher price tags, it was Geromanolis that truly captured our hearts and taste buds, making our trip all the more unforgettable. 🥹🥰

The ambiance is authentically Greek, offering a warm, traditional feel that makes you feel right at home. Service was efficient and welcoming, and the food—absolutely exceptional. Each dish was rich in flavor, prepared with care, and served generously. The ingredients—especially the fish, shrimp, squid, vegetables, and other fresh produce—were incredibly fresh, and that quality could truly be tasted in every bite.🤤🤤🤤

We found ourselves coming back not once, but three times—and if we had discovered it earlier, we would’ve happily dined there every evening. (They’re open from 17:00 to 23:00 PM, so don’t miss the window!)😉

Every visit was met with kind hospitality, and we especially appreciated the sweet gesture of being served complimentary yogurt with honey for dessert—a small detail that left a lasting impression.🥹 The combination of quality, quantity, and genuine warmth made every meal a joy. We always left with full stomachs and happy hearts.☺️❤️

Unbelievable Service. Outstanding restaurant with Amazing service.

We stumbled into this great little local family Greek restaurant at close to 10pm. Dinner was great. After a proper Greek dinner we asked about a particular desert. Angelo our waiter, said it was also his favorite but he didn’t have it. He called the local bakery and said he would be right back. This is 11.10pm on a Tuesday night. His restaurant was still bustling with families eating and lively music.

5 mins later he was back with the desert in hand. serving it to us at the table. I have never experienced anything like it before. Wow. Unbelievable!!

He didn’t know until he returned, I said, today is my husband’s birthday and mine was in less than an hour.

This made our night and our entire trip. I could not believe he did that for 2 foreigners walking in his restaurant late at night.

Then everyone was wishing us Happy Birthday. This was so special for us.

A Hidden Gem ,Authentic Greek Family Hospitality at Its Best

Geromanolis is a true treasure a family-owned taverna that delivers authentic Greek food, warm hospitality, and great value all in one.

We tried a variety of dishes seafood, pasta, chicken, and meat and everything was absolutely delicious. Each plate was full of flavor, freshly prepared, and served with care. And the tzatziki? Easily the best we tasted on the entire island of Santorini!

The prices were another highlight very reasonable, especially compared to other restaurants in town. It’s rare to find this level of quality at such fair prices.

The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with several locals dining alongside us, which always says a lot. The owners and staff were genuinely friendly.
