Ich sagte 2x "Cash", dann fragte er mich "With card or Cash".

5-Star Review for Tzanakis Tavern

Tzanakis Tavern is a hidden gem that truly captures the essence of authentic Greek cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a charming atmosphere that transports you straight to Greece.

The menu is a delightful journey through traditional Greek flavors, and each dish is crafted with care. Don’t miss out on their homemade tzatziki, which is refreshingly tangy and pairs beautifully with warm pita bread.

The ambiance is cozy, with rustic décor. The staff is incredibly friendly, ensuring that every guest feels like part of the family.

Overall, Tzanakis Tavern delivers not just a meal, but an experience that celebrates Greek culture and hospitality. Whether you're a fan of Greek cuisine or trying it for the first time, this tavern is a must-visit. Highly recommended! Pork Steak was...

We were hopeful about this spot after reading a mix of reviews, but unfortunately, our experience fell short. The restaurant appears to be family-run and is clean and well-maintained, but the meal itself didn’t quite meet our expectations.

We stopped in for lunch and were the only guests at the time, which gave us pause, but we decided to give it a try anyway. We ordered the moussaka to share, as we hadn’t had it elsewhere yet during our trip. Sadly, it tasted as though it had been reheated rather than freshly prepared—echoing what some of the more critical reviews had mentioned.

The service was fine, though not particularly warm or engaging. With so many excellent dining options across Santorini, we’d recommend exploring elsewhere for a more memorable and...

The moussaka was nice, the Santorini sausage was alright. The staff were welcoming (especially the lady who was very friendly) when we entered, but they weren’t transparent about items incurring additional costs (eg. Bread, sauces). The receipt not being itemised was also strange. When we asked about it, one of the male staff members was quite rude when all we did was ask about the details of the bill. This would have been easily resolved with an itemised receipt / simply giving us a heads up. Overall, a decent place for easy / quick food but would only go again because of the friendly lady. There are definitely much better places around the area.

We visited this family run restaurant due to the TripAdvisor ratings. It's a little walk from the center of Megalochori. It's situated direct on the street so you won't miss it. You can pay with card. Dishes are a bit cheaper than usual but not very big. We got a free dessert. Overall it seems to be family run and everybody was very friendly and asked if everything is ok. The owner even apologized for his poor english which was totally sufficient! :-) At the end they even said goodbye to us with a hearty handshake. Try the Tzanakis special which is really good. If you seek a Restaurant away from tourist hotspots this is your place.
