Terra Nera — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

This little boutique hotel will always have a special place in my heart!|Terra Nera is without a doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed in, in all my years of travel.||Right from the booking, the service has been consistently OUTSTANDING, with Katerina reaching out to confirm my travel schedule and car booking; Christos painstakingly and patiently helping me plan our sightseeing for each day; and Georgios and Mariana checking up on us at every meal, to check if everything was okay.|When we arrived we were greeted with a welcome drink & a traditional dessert that were amazing. The day before we left, there were candles by our door to bid us goodbye. When I enquired where we could buy the traditional dessert which my boys loved, Mariana gifted us a box to take back home.|These little touches and personalised attention at this family run hotel makes each guest feel one was staying with family rather than at a hotel.||I travelled with my husband and 2 boys and we had booked the Deluxe suite which was very comfortable for the 4 of us. The loo is separate from the shower which is very convenient when you have a family travelling. The beach is literally a 30 second walk from the hotel and loungers are reserved for the hotel guests so you will always find one. The beach is also possibly one of the few beaches in Santorini that is not rocky and one can actually swim in the water. There are also water sports as well as supermarket within walking distance.||Finally, how can I end this review without mentioning the amazing food at Terra Nera? It was so good we did not go anywhere else to eat. The restaurant seemed pretty popular as it was crowded every evening. The seafood was fresh, the meat dishes perfectly cooked and the Greek salad with the large chunks of amazing feta, the taramasalata, the grilled feta, the yogurt were out of this world. The breakfast was fantastic and portions were generous. ||I would highly recommend this...

We stayed in Terra Nera with my family , sister and her family and my parents . We had the best experience Ever. They exceeded our expectations. The rooms are cozy , clean , comfortable and always fully stocked . They provide water , coffee and as many towels as you need even for the beach . We got the package with breakfast and it’s an awesome one ! You order your breakfast from the menu , made fresh. Their waffles are heavenly ! |They give you front row umbrellas and chairs that are included With your stay ! |They can arrange for transportation for you ( airport or any other place you are going to , with an extra charge ) |The beach is crystal clear and calm ! |The best thing about Terra Nera is the staff ! |The owner George, Marianne , Katerina , Shelly and all the workers there treat you like family . They will genuinely do anything to make your stay pleasant . They would treat the kids with ice cream ! The owner came early one day just for us before the restaurant opened , because we were going on an early excursion, so he came early and made breakfast for us himself!!||We are so glad we stayed on this side of the island , and in Terra Nera !|Their restaurant is the best !
