We spent a day at the beach near Perissa in Santorini, where many beach bars offer “free” sunbeds and umbrellas — but only if you order food or drinks from them. Most of these places looked the same, and unfortunately, so did their food: low-quality cocktails, overpriced snacks, and chaotic service. I literally saw waiters running around, confused about which order went where. It felt more like a tourist trap than a relaxing experience…
Luckily, we stumbled upon a true gem — a traditional fish tavern just a few steps away from the beach. It wasn’t fancy or trying to look “luxurious,” but it had everything we were hoping for: warm and friendly service, fresh seafood, and an authentic atmosphere. I had grilled sea bass, which was perfectly cooked, and my boyfriend had sardines — also delicious. As a nice surprise, we were given complimentary chocolate ice cream for dessert:)
What really impressed us was seeing a local fisherman arrive and deliver fresh fish directly to the restaurant. It felt real and honest — a true taste of Greece. Sadly, we were the only customers there, while dozens of tourists were packed into the flashy beach bars, unknowingly falling for the typical “free sunbed” scam.

Read morei’m currently typing this in the restaurant because we had to leave such a positive review. i read reviews last night of this restaurant and saw mostly positive! so we came down for some seafood and honestly this has been the best seafood we’ve ever tasted, the shrimp with spaghetti was immense!! full of flavour and shrimps were cooked to perfection. the pasta too was so delicious. my mum had the sea bass in which she says is the best she’s ever eaten! it was so fresh and superbly cooked. i would highly recommend coming here. we have eaten at many seafood restaurants and places around the world but this must top the list!!! we are coming back to try more of their menu on other nights and the service is amazing, staff are friendly and very kind. thank you so...
Read moreThere's nothing more you can say about this place, but it gets s 5 of our of 5 in everything. The waitresses were attentive, friendly, helpful, and honestly, Iwould struggle to find anything they can improve on. It's just the sort of place you need in Santorini .
The prices are reasonable for the food you get. We paid €170 euros, including a tip for our platter and drinks. Believe me, if you read reviews about places in Greece, then you will know that some places are trying to charge that for a coke. Sadly, it has a terrible reputation for ripping off tourists, but this restaurant isn't one of those restaurants. You can enjoy your evening knowing that you will be charged a reasonable price for what you're having. Keep up the...
