Pezodromos cafe — Restaurant in Municipality of Tilos

Mixed feelings about this place. As many people, I ended up here during my visit to the beach as it looked like a lovely little place with nice decor. However, the quality and feel of what's on offer is less than the other places on Livadia waterfront, where you can usually relax and enjoy the peace and quiet lovely Tilos is known for. This spot however, gets invaded by noisy kids in the afternoon, the nice views over the water and swimming opportunities being spoilt by inflatable plastic toys; no chance of relaxation or taking a nap. The owners couldn't care less and even seem to be taking part at some point in this mayhem. It's a pity, really, because this place could have huge potential.

As for the food / service, there is room for improvement as well: when you want to eat, they direct you to an adjacent building with a bland decor, supposedly because on the terrace of the nicer one, there were "mosquitos". As this happened at noon, this argument makes no sense of course; I rather had the impression they wanted to serve the food at a location closer to where the kitchen was located.

Food was nice enough, nothing special though. During daytime, the choice of drinks is limited; in the afternoon, only Aperol is offered as the cocktail option - I found this rather strange as all the ingredients were behind the counter.

All in all, for now, I would not repeat - there are far better places to spend your day at Livadia's picture perfect beach - unless some urgent changes were made; it seems that the management should be better aware of its potential and act...

Great place for relaxing either as a couple or as a family. Me and my significant other was there about 3 or 4 times during our stay, and didn't have any problem with ordering as others have mentioned. You order drinks at the bar (sometimes they even come over to you) and then they bring it to you when it's ready, even to your sunbed. The orders are put on your table and you pay before you leave, which I found really nice and relaxing with not having to stress about always bringing a card.

There can be some noises from kids and what not, but we never found that to be an issue. It appears to be a family establishment, and you feel right at home there. If one server can't help you, either because of language barriers or other things, they always find you someone that can help you. We were even invited to come to a live concert at the evening which was excellent.

The staff work from morning to late evening, I don't understand how they do it, but if things take a bit longer than usual it's probably because they're exhausted (understandably so) 😅

An interesting decor, definitely quirky as per other reviews. Although we have been coming to Tilos for more years than we can remember, haven't tried this place since it opened a few years ago. It's in a great location on the walkway with some tables at the edge of the beach. The comments about kids playing all around and the noise is not fair, Tilos is not a resort island, it is a Greek island that happens to get visited by travellers. And kids playing is a fact of life in a real village so rather than complaining about it you should embrace it. Menu is OK, with a lot of waffles, crepes and other sweet things available. Very friendly and helpful staff who will bring your order to your sunbed. Loved the fact you can run a tab up over the day rather than keep paying for each order. Food is of a good quality and freshly cooked to order. We liked it so much we've been back around 6 times over our 2 week visit to Tilos and will definitely be going back on our next visit...
