I went there with my dog. It's a big dog, so before I reached the chair to sit, I saw the face of this guy picking up plates from another table. He was like not happy. Then I sat so there came an old man to me from the up above the fence and said, "If your dog barks, you can't sit here because of the other customers!!" Like I'm not a customer. Because I have a big dog, I'm not a worthy customer, apparently. My dog barked just once to a cat until then with a low voice because he knows how to behave. We have been traveling all over Europe. I asked the people who were eating there if they felt disturbed by my dog. I was sitting also to the more distant table. They looked at me like they didn't even realize the dog was there. This place is not pet friendly at all. They are probably them selves afraid of big dogs, and they have a prejudice about it. But YOU CAN TELL IT IN A NICER WAY INSTEAD OF TREATING A CUSTOMER LIKE A 2ND...
Read moreBy far the worst & most bizarre customer experience I’ve had not just in Greece, but anywhere. The owner had a huge problem with what I was wearing, ranting that I needed to cover up but as opposed to speaking to me directly and privately, he spoke to my boyfriend while gesturing at my body, which in turn made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It seems the rule he implements about the need to cover skin only applies to women, as no remarks were made about the shorts and flip flops worn by the others in the group. I would suggest if he wants to carry sexist outdated ideals about how women should look inside his establishment he should train his staff better who twice saw me and did not say anything. The owner only chose to make a scene once our drinks order had arrived & we would owe them something. The only big regret is actually paying them...
Read morePreviously only visited Tilos for day trips, so this year decided to stay for a few evenings to experience more of the local cuisine. We had both a lunch and an evening meal here and neither disappointed. The food is homemade and tastes delicious. The chocolate cake is phenomenal!!! We had stifado, Greek salad and chocolate cake. The stifado has plently if large chunks of meat and a rich thick sauce served with lemon potatoes ( my favourite!) The Greek salad and cake was an oxymoron of a lunch, as the cake was a huge slab, very moist and topped with hot chocolate sauce- delicious!!! The staff ( father and son?) were so friendly it made our day! We will definitely be back for more, I’ve been trying for 3 years to get the coconut cake but it’s always sold out- perhaps my luck will be...
