I really do not like giving reviews for my favorite coffee shops as I hate it when they become over crowded and I have nowhere to sit in the morning and enjoy my coffee in peace.
But this morning the coffee was so good that I felt obliged to share this with you. So what do I like about this place apart from the coffee?
Well as usual being made to feel welcome is a massive high on my list. The lady Eli has a great sense of humour and a huge laugh to back it up. And Florian who managed to make the perfect coffee this morning has been helping me read my sms messages in Greek from the internet service provider. He instantly chatted the first time I came as we had known each other an age...
So now this is how I start my day, over a cup of coffee, with a view of the sea and the customers are chatty too.
I have not as yet sampled all of the baked goods on offer but they do have a sourdough loaf that I will try. I am still fasting intermittently and trying to keep to a low gluten, low carb diet.
Happiness comes from small things, such as a perfect cup of coffee and a sea view..

My day would not be complete without a coffee here. If I wake early I will be here by 6am, sometimes a little earlier. I have scared Matilda, pictured, a few times as she is inside setting up and baking,

Read moreUnbelievable, in Corona times this bakery is not following the public rules with masks and social distancing. The other day, I was there to buy some pastry and sandwiches, and a customer comes in without a mask, without holding a distance to me, when no one bothered to tell him anything. Even when I complained to the sales woman behind the counter, she didn’t bother to say anything to that customer. Sorry, if the owners and the employees of this bakery don’t care about the situation, I’m wondering if they are following the required hygiene levels when they produce their bread and pastry. I have discussed this with many friends who live in the area, and they confirmed to me, that even in the past customers come into this shop smoking a cigarette and still are being serviced. That’s why several people are now avoiding this bakery, including myself and my friends...
Read moreMARVELOUS!!!!! My family of four arrived at Vouliagmeni this afternoon. While walking along the main street looking for a quick bite, we were drawn into Artopolis which displayed a beautiful array of tempting cookies and mouth watering gelatos. After making our choices of cookies (we tried nine different kinds), we availed ourselves to the sandwiches, salad, and lunch pastries which were housed in the back of the shop. The food was delicious, staff were accommodating, and the owner, Elefthería, was most hospitable! After seeing how much we had enjoyed her food, she even offered us some free pastries and cookies to try! We enjoyed the experience so much that we promised ourselves to go back tomorrow morning for some fresh-baked koulouri with some more baklava and...
