I’ll start with the positives, because they’re few. The place itself, as a landscape, is magical and truly worth seeing. That’s where it ends.
There’s a “policy” that if it’s windy, umbrellas must stay closed because, apparently, the wind might blow them away. Honestly, bravo… You pay €60 to €100 and don’t even get an umbrella, simply because they didn’t bother to secure them properly. And let’s be clear we’re not talking about a storm, it was just a light breeze. But of course, it conveniently worked in their favor to clear the space for the next customers.
The staff… let’s just say some of them gave a masterclass in bad behavior. They persistently asked for a tip, as if they had provided exceptional service. I have no problem leaving a tip, but not when I’m thrown out into 41degree heat like a sack, without a trace of shade. There are people who medically cannot be exposed to the sun, but here the logic seems to be, “let them leave so we can bring in others.”
Shade? Zero. Not even a single branch to cover your head. When we found a bit of shade to sit in, they came over to tell us we had to leave because, apparently, “the doctor recommended it.” The reason? A mystery. And the gentleman from the service team? He spoke to us as if we were unwelcome, announcing in front of others that “we kicked them out and they came back.” This is not professional behavior,it’s a clear lack of respect.
When I pay these kinds of prices, I expect the basics: at least an umbrella or some shade. Here, all I got was an experience I would never want to relive and would never recommend to anyone.
Oh, and at the entrance, they give you a towel!! I guess it’s so I can cover myself and walk fully dressed straight into hell. See how well they...
Read moreI hate to give a bad review because the lake itself is wonderful. However, the company managing the lake is incompetent and greedy.
We paid 60€ for sun beds that come with an umbrella. They determined that due to “winds” that I would call more a nice breeze that we could not use the umbrellas. Meanwhile a few km away at the resort we were staying the umbrellas were open all day. I believe that they do this so that you will leave and they can resell your seat.
They were also discriminating and allowing some who did not pay (an older couple) to use the sun beds while I saw them chase off a young couple who did not pay. This was early August and the sun was brutal. My friend got sun poisoning during our time there and was sick. They also make constant announcements that you cannot wear sunscreen in the lake, which makes no sense if they aren’t offering shade.
They do not provide lockers or anywhere to secure your belongings. The umbrella has a boxaki attached but they didn’t provide a key. This is a huge problem because someone from your party always has to stay with your stuff, which meant sitting in the blazing sun with no shade. They need to provide lockboxes for wallets and phones. They took Amex for the online booking but when I tried to pay for our drinks onsite with my Amex I was informed it was a different company and they refused to accept it for payment. Luckily for them I had another credit card.
The service on site was poor. I saw umbrellas up in certain areas and was told that was to protect their equipment meanwhile they don’t mind that they make patrons sun sick. I feel bad for the locals who have had their natural wonder stolen from them so that this company can turn a quick buck on...
Read moreTotally unacceptable. We tried pizza and toast sandwich, which were both rather bad and terribly expensive, if you consider that these were made of very cheap and law quality products. Furthermore, the whole place is overwhelmed from smell of many times used fried oils, which is very unpleasant. Personnel is polite - in most cases, though we faced some kind of discrimination against clients who pay "executive" facilities. I would also like to point out that those executive services' quality does not reflect quality in any case. The expensive sunbeds seem to have never been cleaned. Toilets are quite clean but there are damages that are not repaired, like broken locks and moving wooden floor of the one and only closed shower cabin. In the toilets, only one tap is working, and the shower cabin often smells like a toilet, since the floor is wooden, so would not be easily sterilized. This only cabin is made of wooden type materials, so I wonder how health Authorities permit it. When we asked certificate of the lakes water analysis report, we were given a report from private laboratory, and not official public organization. Believe that re this matter, the local municipality is not doing the needful in order to secure public health. See also photos of the closed shower cabin, taken in...
