SUGGESTION: just stick to the pizza and stay happy.
Hard to review this place (both food and service) because everything was either excellent or terrible.
Our main server was very polite and professional but another server was… I don’t even know if rude is the word for her behavior. We are grateful to our main server, a young man, for fixing the scenario for us. But the young lady created a problem where there should have been none.
One of the diners in my group of 4 received her dish and realized it was near identical to something which made her very sick earlier in our trip. She tried to exchange it right away but the young woman server refused to exchange it, refused to even take the dish away, and immediately brought out the check following the conversation, when the rest of us were 2-3 bites into our meals. It was so odd, fairly stressful, and resulted in one member of our party not having a meal when everyone else did. Our main server later offered to exchange the food as we had originally requested, well after the rest of us had completed our meals.
We greatly appreciate his service, kindness, and communication. I tipped him accordingly. But there really needn’t have been an issue if the young woman to whom we first reported the problem had either assisted us or found someone who could.
Otherwise, my seafood risotto was on the orzo side and not very creamy. I would potentially recommend this location for pizza and drinks, but not for a full...
Read moreWe visited En Plo Cafe & Restaurant yesterday – and it was a truly perfect evening! The place is mostly known as a café/bar, where many people come in the afternoon for coffee or drinks while enjoying the stunning seaside view. But the restaurant is an absolute hidden gem: Italian-inspired cuisine with pizza, pasta, fish, meat, and classic starters such as tomato-mozzarella, carpaccio, and fresh salads.
We had meatballs (with a Greek twist), chicken with grilled vegetables, and pasta all’Amatriciana – everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. We paired it with a fresh Pinot Grigio, which was very reasonably priced.
The service was outstanding: • Stefano took care of us the whole evening, always attentive and friendly. • Carolina at the reception/concierge is always incredibly kind and welcoming. • Alexis, the manager, makes sure the atmosphere is warm and inviting – and it’s also very dog-friendly. Our dog was immediately offered water. 🐾
The ambiance is just wonderful: right by the sea, with a beautiful atmosphere – perfect for a relaxed dinner. Price-performance ratio: absolutely fair (around €35–40 per person including wine).
Conclusion: En Plo is much more than just a café or bar. If you want to enjoy great food in Vouliagmeni, this is the place to go. We will...
Read moreThere's no doubt that the beautiful view of the sea, the modern but chic decor, free valet-operated parking and well-organised beach you can dip into while waiting for your order make this restaurant-cafe-bar a very attractive spot on a hot summer day. The dishes we saw being served in the surrounding tables seemed attractive and the portions were huge. However, we never got to taste anything but their water - and even that was served a good 15 minutes after we had sat down. I have never in my life been treated like an invisible person before. Even though the place was not even half-way full, servers would take orders and serve other tables and completely ignore us. Even after 40 minutes, when we asked for the menus ourselves. My friends and I gave up after an hour of waiting and left the place. It is completely unacceptable for a place that aspires to be providing a higher level of service (judging by the high-priced menu) to be so neglectful of their customers. If Google Maps allowed for a zero star review, this is what I would...
