Not the best gyro I've ever had but honestly, still great drunk food. I prefer the Cretan method of 'drown it in paprika' so this was slightly mild for me. The prices are good, there is a good choice on the menu and it's really central and a short stumble to the taxi rank. The staff were happy to remove the item I can't eat and the food arrived at light speed.
2 gyro, 1L table water, and 2 cokes came to just over €14. It has a clean, unisex bathroom (through the door, keep straight). It is absolutely not wheelchair accessible. Even the outside tables are on a platform. The road is very busy so best not to sit there in a chair/scooter unless thrill rides are your thing.
The ordering system seems to be plonk yourself at a table and someone will come. I didn't know and I went to the counter and messed up the delicate takeway/stay in division of jobs. They walked the receipt all the way out to us and put it on the table even though I'd paid and left it there. I can take a hint.....the counter is for delivery/takeaway. Do...
Read moreI've been looking at this place all week, and finally it's time to give it a go, and by the look of the queue, it might be worth the wait. It's really busy, so be patient.
We ordered the pita gyros and a sausage plate.
What you see, is what you get. No authentic atmosphere, just amazing greek food to go or if you're lucky to get one of the 10 tables placed in- and outside.
Juicy meet in the gyros and the sausage had a really nice smoked flavour to it. I'm definitely a fan, so don't hesitate to give FRIENDS a visit, they're real friendly 😉
The staff are amazing and no doubt, that it's family runned. Opening hours 14-02, so a perfect stop on your way home, after a good night out.
Pita gyros 4€ and the sausage plate 9,5 €. And you if you don't trust me, just look at...
Read moreBy far the best gyro and souvlaki place in Molyvos. Don't waste your time with others. If you're in Molyvos this is as good as it gets. I went to other places. Their nearest competitor has a great view because it's higher up in the town but the food wasn't near a good and it was more expensive. The reason I gave it a 4 star and not 5 was because the service could of been faster if they were more organized or hired more wait staff during high tourism season and especially during dinner time. We did have to wait for a while to get served and get our food but was well worth it. We will definitely eat there again the next time...
