Best Ice Cream anywhere! Yes I know, it's a bold statement but I swear by it. I've traveled all over and have tried ice cream just about everywhere and nothing tops The Blue Fox. Great family run business full of tradition. I got a chance to speak to the owner, the chef and as you will see in the television inside the store everything is made from scratch with traditional recipes. The pastry desserts were incredible as well. We tried just about everything. We were in Molyvos for 4 days and we went here every day sometimes twice a day. It was that good! You can't buy anything bad from this lovely store. Also it has a beautiful view from the balconies. I highly suggest visiting this place for dessert. George is the owners grandson, he always served us and we got a chance to know him. He is a bright young man, who speak English and is very knowledgeable in what they serve. I loved his enthusiasm in the products they sell. I told him grandmother who also works there what a great job he does and she told me she is very proud of him. Hopefully one day he takes over the family business. George if you are reading this, my apologies we never got a chance to see you to say bye on our last day there. We will see you again the next time we visit, hopefully...
Read moreNot too far off the main drag and well worth the uphill climb. Surrounded by little trinket shops and with an absolute knock out view of the bay you'd be forgiven for thinking this is yet another tourist trap.
The cake will prove you wrong. Moist, airy, chocolate slices that were almost Gateaux like. The mousse chocolate dome was rich and creamy. The coffee was one of the best we had in town.
Your server is a delightful woman with excellent English. She even helped me find something within my dietary requirements with a little google translate help. You can come here confidently and soak in that view for a while before tackling the castle climb.
And maybe call again on the way back down as there is always cold water on the table!
I have included a photo of the road up and the balcony you're...
Read moreThis is a wonderful pastry/ice cream store. We stopped early evening for ice cream which blew our minds away. We had mastic, pomegranate, and mango. The ice cream was rich but not overly sweet. One of us had profiterole and loved it. Eventually we came back after dinner and had more ice cream, profiterole and lemon pie (I am not sure of its name now. It had a dome structure and when you cut into it you will see a layer crust, lemon cream, and soft creamy/puffy layer). The lemon pie stole the show during our second visit with its super unique texture and its well balanced sweet and sour taste. The son (the chef) and mother run the place. Highly recommend saving a spot in your diet either before or...
