Went in randomly for lunch, best food I've had in Lesvos.
Found a table immediately, wait time was decent (average, fast drinks, couple of mins for starters, ~20 for main course).
Appetizer plate was good, basic combo of tzatiki + eggplant salad + fish roe + crab salad + some sort of cheese salad.
The greatness came in the main dishes though. I ordered Giouvetsi, unsure of what to pick from the "traditional" dishes. It ended up being the best thing I'd eaten all week. Cooked lamb, orzo pasta, grated cheese on top, and most important of all, (presumably) a drop of cinnamon. That little sweet tinge genuinely turned an average dish into an absolutely savoury feast.
The other dishes were really great too, namely the stuffed calamari.
Beer choice is mostly average(Amstel, Mythos, Alfa), standout being Vergina.
The staff were quite apologetic for "being slow" and "late" despite taking an understandable amount of time, and nice all across the board.
All in all, definitely recommend checking out the place and trying out the traditional dishes. It's a tad pricey, but nothing over the top, and more...

Details follow:
Can’t believe how this place receives so many positive reviews and gets recommendations from so many hotels in the region. We even got recommendations from the hotels and other restaurants in Petra and Efthalou nearby, guess they have special agreements..
I was ignoring this place for a long time and finally decided to give it a try.. I told everything in more detail to the owner or the manager, whoever he was..
In sum:
Overcrowded touristic place and the service sucks big time. They didn’t bring almost one third of our orders and even wanted to charge us some of them. Total disorderness from the kitchen to the service staff..
Food quality: Shameful for Lesvos, no more details needed..
Prices: Inflated inflated inflated..
Total experience: A total disaster..
Désolé!
PS. Lesvos regular, been to almost every village since 8 years. Unfortunately observing a constant decline in food and service quality in...
Read morePlace always busy so thought we would try it. Usually go to the seahorse. Food adequate but was embarrassing told off by a rude member of staff for feeding a cat (as was everyone else) then when I tried to pay the same waiter was aggressive when I asked if I was to pay inside as we were paying by card… Overall not a nice experience here and will not go again! Quite upsetting to be honest. Never had this problem anywhere else in Greece usually lovely people.
Edit due to reply… I didn’t feed the cat off cutlery, the food was on the folk and I tipped it on the floor for the cat to eat, you clearly didn’t see this and instead just told me off and didn’t give me a chance to explain. Regards to paying, I simply asked if it was convenient to come inside, you had a bad attitude when all I was doing was trying to help as you were clearly busy, try not being rude next time! Never will I eat here again. Food bland and stodgy, daughters...
