Stella's TAVERNA — Restaurant in Paros Municipality

I was quite disappointed in this place. I had 14 people with me and we arrived at the restaurant at 6pm. We didn't have a reservation which is why we were so early. When we arrived, there were no other customers there yet for dinner. The staff seemed very upset, if not downright rude, about a party of 14 people. They said that they might not have enough food for everyone. What? I guess they normally don't have 14 people come for dinner? When it came time to take our order, the waitress told my husband that he she would order everything through him. Like if we wanted Greek salad, count how many we wanted, and tell her 5 Greek salads. We refused to do that and she was upset to go around the entire table and take everyone's order. Seemed like laziness to me. Not to mention, most of the staff sits around at a table outside smoking cigarettes most of the time.

The food was also disappointing. While everything came out pretty quickly, The pork skewers were charred on the outside and raw in the middle. The spaghetti Bolognese was noodles with meat on top. Zucchini balls were the best thing on the menu. And the wine.

We’ve been coming for many years now to this small, spotless restaurant, nestled under the thick shade of eucalyptus trees, just beside the Golden Beach in Paros. Back when it was run by the grandmother — Mrs. Stella — who welcomed us with the unpretentious grace of a sun-kissed island woman, and delighted us with her homemade delicacies prepared with love and care.

Today, she has passed the torch to the most worthy hands: her daughter and her family, who continue her legacy with the same honesty, dedication, and genuine hospitality. With their food, they once again bring beauty and flavor into our lives and remind us of something deeply comforting — that the world wasn’t only honest, flavorful, and hard-working “back then”… There are still corners like this that keep that...

This was the worst meal we had in Greece over 12 days. Although the apps were good (why I gave 2 stars), the main dishes were borderline cold. I was still waiting for my meal 45 minutes after the rest of my family received their food. I finally tracked down the waitress and she relayed they didn’t have room on the grill to cook my food. If you go here, I would not order anything that needs to be grilled and I would not expect your food to be hot or even warm.

Per your reply - it is really simple. You don’t have to be a superhero to communicate that someone’s food would not be ready for more than 45 minutes after all other meals have been delivered. Simple communication would have been appreciated as I could have ordered something else and not...
