Dodoni — Restaurant in Sami Municipality

We always visit Dodoni when in Agia Efimia. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Sitting watching the world go by with delicious ice cream and drinks. It is just lovely. We've been back home a couple of weeks now and already looking forward to coming back in September.

September update. We have been into Dodoni a couple of times during this holiday. On our last visit, we had a light lunch instead of just ice cream and drinks. I had a savoury crepe (number 10), and my wife had a chicken salad. The chicken in both dishes was really tasty, well seasoned, and tender. We then got the obligatory ice cream, when is one of the best I have ever tasted, and I am an ice cream fiend. Since this is very late in the season (only a few days still open), they didn't have the full range. They still had a decent range, in one of the usual two viewable freezers. I had almond parfait with chocolate sauce and hazelnut parfait with praline. They were both fantastic. My wife had strawberry sorbet, which was very nice. The service was fantastic, as ever. It was lovely to see the South African lady there again, who does a great job and has a wicked sense of humour. This is our favourite cafe on the island, and Agia Efimia is probably our favourite place to visit. A match...

Amazing place to sit and have the most delicious breakfast , we visited here most days of our 2 week stay .what made us keep returning you may ask ....well the food was always excellent, the setting is wonderful, very friendly atmosphere and the staff are fantastic the service is impeccable . The staff go above and beyond to serve you as quickly as they can what saddened us was that some other dinners don't appreciate how hard they work ....so what if you had to wait a little longer because x4 tables arrived at once why can't these people be a little patient sit back and enjoy the view and the ambience of this fantastic place to eat.we would highly recommend to anyone who's visiting Agia efimia . We stayed in Kefalonia for 2 weeks and I think we visited Dodoni almost every day! Delicious food, lovely friendly and hard working waiters and waitresses, and all served with a beautiful view. We sampled most of the menu (!) and the pancakes, crepes, hamburger and egg dishes were all devoured! The coffee was beautiful and the fresh orange juice was yummy! I think my children will miss Dodoni even more when they get just plain toast for breakfast when we get...
