Manita Skyrian Street Food — Restaurant in Skyros Municipality

We just had two Freddos, which were very good. They came with a small bottle of water each and still we were surprised about the reasonable price. Unfortunately it was around noon on a very hot day because otherwise we would have been absolutely tempted to order some food. The menu looked very appetizing: not too many dishes but an appealing selection of different foods with a modern yet typically Greek feel to them. They offered local specialties, e.g. not only the Ladopita everybody has on the menu but also other pites. Also a great location with perfect use of limited space! A perfect cross of traditional skyrian food with modern street food. The royal french toast is a perfect example of this, combining skyrian sour cheese with avocado, a real must try. The ingredients are fresh and of perfect quality.

To top all that, this is the only place that had vegan milk for our coffee.

The service is slow for a fast food place, but as the crew gets more experienced I believe they will get faster.

The prices are a bit high, especially for the small quantities served, but the quality makes...

This is the only place in Skyros where I found the local specialties teropitaria (cheese pies with Trahanas) and marmarites (pies with pumpkin and cheese). I also ordered meatballs and a salad. There are a few tables outside and I was lucky to get one!
