Overpriced for nothing! A minimum consumption charge of a €100 (!) for a set of two sunbeds and a umbrella. We arrived at 12:30, the place was almost empty and remained almost empty up until we left (no surprise there), yet they refused to serve me yogurt with honey with my coffee as, according to them, there's a similar item in their breakfast menu and the breakfast time had passed (they only serve breakfast until 11:00). When I argued that I'm not asking for breakfast but for a widely served Greek dessert and since the place is almost empty the chef would not get out of their way to prepare it, the server asked again and said that they can now serve me the yogurt with honey only to come back 5 minutes later to repeat that it's impossible. There's no fresh milk available (only condensed and barista milk) nor they have any alternative milk options. I have to be honest and say that lunch was very good. The beach was rocky and not crystal clear and the water was accessible through a corridor of sand sacks. The music was nice although they faced a technical problem and it was interrupted for a half an hour during which time they couldn't accept credit cards. It's...
Read moreWhere to start, first I have to mention that Giannis, the master chef, is a friend of mine so the review is not totally unbiased. Of course I will try to be as fair as possible. That said, I will only comment for the 2 dishes I tried plus the sweet. For starter I had a salad, which was "Crevices tzintzer mayo/bavaria fenel/sorbet lime mint/bio". The combination of the lime sorbet together with the fresh leaves, it was just an amazing feeling with a tickling of the palate as a surprise. Another surprise were the jelly cubes with flavor of apple and other fruits. The whole dish was very balanced. For main I had Seabass meli melo salmon/fried tapioca/limefoam/ikura!! The transportation of a traditional dish of giuvarlakia to a gourmet sea food dish at its best. You have to try both dished to understand what I am saying. And last for dessert I had Le citron de patissier!! An excellent idea with a lot of work to finish the lemon. An excellent culinary experience. Highly...
Read moreWonderful. One of my favourite places in Thassos. The beach bar is beautifully designed with couple-friendly lounges at the seafront! I especially love it that it’s not too stuffed since I utterly dislike those mass tourism places.
The best part is the outstanding food in the restaurant. A bit more on the pricey side compared to other places in Thassos but clearly worth it. The seabram carpaccio was an explosion of different but perfectly harmonic tastes in my mouth. The watermelon salad with prosciutto could have used a little more prosciutto (it had one slice) but was extremely delicious. Cocktails on the beach and beach food (which is a different menu) are also superb.
The sand is coarse and there are a few stones in the water but it doesn’t bother me personally, also they made a nice entryway into the sea with some soft bags. Maybe they should point it out more as we only discovered it by chance and had before walked...
