Iolkos Tavern — Restaurant in Volos Municipality

Nice place! Food was good. We stopped by for a fast lunch. It was pretty busy. We had the luck to enjoy a real performed song in Greek. Unfortunately the guy played only one song - i did not understood why he did not continued. Anyway, about food: :) traditional greek meals. Saganaki with shrimps and mussels was good, lukaniko with tomatoes and pepers was also nice. :( Probably I did not enjoyed so much the risotto with mussels and shrimps. The rice was a little bit hard and dry.

The food was delicious! The fried zucchini were not oily The baked cheese was also very good. My husband had sardines and finished every last one of them. The star of the show was the egg plant salad, was the best one we had in Greece so far. I highly recommend the place, very attentive staff and fans blowing to cool you down on a very hot day.
