Beautiful scenery and restaurant. But the food was horrible and I wish I'd photographed it. Not really much in the way of breakfast choice. I had an Americano which was weak so asked for a shot of espresso which was provided without argument. Anyway I had an omelette... only option was a guacamole one. I thought strange but maybe it's nice. I got a small omelette with a shop bought green paste spread over the top with a tiny fresh salsa sprinkled on; no coriander, but some pea shoots or similar. It was not that nice. Citric tasting 'guacamole' on cheese omelette. That was it. No salad, toast, chips and not cheap. My friend had American style pancakes. 4 shop bought pancakes ๐ฅ piled up with maybe a little squirt of honey and a big pile of cinnamon sugar atop. She said it was just horrible and dry. No maple syrup. Certainly not Amerucan style!! Some honey, choc or strawberry syrups were then offered. Eventually she asked for ice cream for the dry pile and left much of it uneaten, together with the heap of cinnamon sugar. This food was disgraceful. The server tried his best to help us and at least dud not charge us for the food. Without going into detail I've a feeling we are not the only people complaining. They have a monopoly there and take the advantage. The rest of our day was fine. We paid 10 euros each for a deck chair which was the extra comfy ones. A towek to HIRE was another 10 euros!! No refunds so we declined. We didn't purchase anything else other than a bottle of water. The beach is nice and extensive and not too busy in October. Ibiza style chill music played. Near the water edge for several feet are small and larger pebbles. We couldn't walk over these, so sadly ended up unable to go into the sea. I noted a jellyfish. The bus there and back was free. In summary, I recommend the experience but the restaurant is pricey and quite frankly the food is pretentious and poor. Drinks were more reasonable although I was aghast they sold a champagne for 1000 euros!!! Bit of a rip off but worth the visit to see the lovely area. Wish we'd...
ย ย ย Read moreMy partner and I decided to spend the last day of our holiday at this beach. We had high expectations, especially because the reviews were great, and the beach seemed well-maintained. Plus, we were excited to finally visit a beach with proper parking spots, showers, and what appeared to be good service, even though we had to pay slightly higher prices. The free WiFi seemed like the icing on the cake.
However, it turned out that everything came at a price, and by the end of the day, we left feeling rather disappointed, wishing we had spent our last day elsewhere. Our main issue with this beach was that while many things seemed to be free, the owners found ways to recoup their costs in other areas, which ultimately made us feel deceived.
Our biggest disappointment was realizing that the cheapest drink (330 ml) was 4 euros, and their cheapest bottle of water (750 ml) was 6 euros. It felt like a violation of my basic right to access affordable cold water on a hot day. I'd much rather forgo WiFi and showers if it meant having reasonably priced waterโin most restaurants, a 1.5 L bottle costs max. 2.5-3 euros (in 2024 august).
Tip: If you walk 6-7 minutes to the Tropicana Beach Bar, you can get 1 liter of cold water for...
ย ย ย Read moreThis is a luxurious beach club on a stunning sandy beach, with crystal clear, gently shelving sea. The setting is absolutely beautiful. There is free parking in the shade. We visited at the end of June and the temperatures were in high 30's/low 40's and the staff serving on the beach were working so hard, I'm not sure how they did it in the heat. The prices are slightly elevated but the quality and service is good. We rented the middle loungers, which were strong wood, with thick mattresses with a pillow. The tables had a locker to store your belongings. We paid 37.50 euro for 2 umbrella shades and three sunloungers. There were foot wash, showers and changing rooms on the beach. The toilets are located up by the bar/restaurant, they are ample and were cleaned constantly throughout the day. We had drinks served on the beach. The smoothie was particularly good and cost 6.50 euro....very refreshing. We only had snacks to eat, there was a mix up on our order, a manager quickly sorted this and gave us a complimentary drink each. The fruit plate was delicious, the fruit was so fresh and tasty. The music is relaxed and we had a lovely...
