Read moreThe service is too much: intruding, loud, in your face. When you catter to foreigners and English is not your forte, why insist in interupting the guest in their conversation to receite a text? why not write it on a piece of paper? The whole experience, for this reason, gives the impression of narcissistic behaviour: look how fantastic we are, how smart. When you are a guest, the most important element is the guest, not the chef, the waiter, the food. The somelier gives very bad advice. ( red wine with honey based dessert?) In a fine dining restaurant there are certain dishes that you do not write on the menu: the amuse bouche, the bread and butter service, the pre desert, the post desert. Here you do not get a transition between the lamb and the honey. The contrast is brutal. The meal is not thought well, the dishes are just thrown there, good luck. Also, the digestive drink cart is very strangely put together, where before the meal drinks are listed as after the meal drinks. Moreover, the drinks should be included in the price, like in all fine dining restaurants. The price for a small glass that you have the audacity to believe is on the house ( based on numerous previous experiences), is hugely pricey. Nothing, nothing is offered. At 130 euros a menu, that is outrageous. ( the bill is brought without being asked if you want it,...
Read moreI guess I’m going against the norm with this review. We chose the experience without the caviar and added the wine tasting. 200 euros per person. We were offered champagne to start but not presented with a wine menu to make a different selection. We chose not to have a 30 euro glass of champagne so it was at least 30 minutes into the meal before we had our first glass of wine- a terrible idea. They do not serve wine with the “complementary” starter yet champagne would have been an excellent selection. The wine tasting was all white except one serving that came with the lamb. The food was tasty and definitely a unique experience but could have been superb with a few changes. We also had to sit inside due to the weather which is the same location as their other restaurant where we ate the night before. Didn’t feel special for the price difference. My recommendation if you have decided to incur the expense, order some wine to go with your wine tasting so you don’t spend the first 30 minutes wishing you had a glass to go...
