We visited this Greek taverna with good expectations. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were very friendly at first. The waiter who took our order even told us that every dish we chose was “the best choice.”
Unfortunately, when the food arrived, it was a big disappointment. Everything was extremely oily – the dishes were literally swimming in oil. I ordered lamb from the oven with potatoes. The flavor might have been better if there had been some vegetables on the side to balance the heaviness, but instead it was just meat and potatoes covered in oil. My boyfriend ordered three vegan dishes, and sadly, all of them were the same: overwhelmingly greasy.
When I mentioned to the waiter that I couldn’t really eat the food because of the oil, his response was simply that there was nothing he could do, since I had already ordered it and would have to pay for it. That was very disappointing service, as I felt stuck with food I could not enjoy.
Overall, while the people seemed nice at the beginning, the quality of the food and the lack of care when I raised a concern made this a bad dining experience. I cannot...

This restaurant is off the beaten path, about a 5 minute drive from Zakynthos town. We wanted to find somewhere that wasn't touristy, this place was local and authentic and not touristy at all.
It's a family run restaurant and you can really taste the love and care that goes into each dish. The service was so hospitable and welcoming. Amazing prices too.
The restaurant seems to be known for their tapas style Greek appetizers which were AMAZING. The server comes around with a large tray and shows the appetizer selection. It was a really unique way of seeing each dish and helped us in visualizing what was in each dish. I would highly recommend to split different appetizers. They were quite large dishes. The Greek meatballs were a must, along with the chickpeas (truly one of the best dishes), the octopus in vinegar, stuffed eggplant and the dips with pita.
This restaurant was so good we came back a second night and ordered appetizers and entrées. I had the rabbit which was incredible. I don't think you can go wrong here with a single thing...
Read moreTypical taverna at first but as soon as our waitress delicately described our dishes we knew were in for a treat. She meticulously described all of their appetizers. Hard to choose as they looked and sounded equally delicious. we shared between 6 people some homemade meatballs, octopus salad, stuffed red peppers with feta, deconstructed eggplant to name a few. Even the homemade tzaziki and spicy feta was out of this world. We then ordered the mains which consisted of simple grilled goat chops and lambs chops with rosemary potatoes roasted in the oven. Also braised lamb shank in a clay pot. All was very well executed and seasoned. Plating is very simple nothing over the top which I like. Employees were curteous and helpful. Bill was around 20 to 25 a head with 2 bottle of white Greek wine from central Greece and blend of indigenous grapes and sauvignon blanc wich paired well with the meal. Wine list is not extensive but very local. They even brought out dessert for the birthday boy. Highly...
