I really wanted to love this hotel - it's really beautiful and calm and there's a lot to like, but I'm afraid I have to mirror what one of the other reviewers has said which is that it just didn't meet my expectations when taking into account that it's a LHW or the price. We stayed in 4 hotels around the Pelopennese and Zante on this trip and out of the 4 it was by far the most expensive however and we just felt for the price it didn't offer as much as some of the other hotels that were less pricey. ||In the main, we were just really disappointed with the lack of privacy which is something we expect in a high end hotel, and also we found there wasn't much to do at the hotel and became bored really quickly. ||The main issue was that the 'private' pool rooms are not private at all. We were overlooked by the rooms above. We could also be seen from the rooms to the rear. It made us not want to use the pool we'd paid dearly for as there was literally someone sitting on their balcony right over our heads us looking down the whole time. ||We are a family of 4 and booked adjoining private pool rooms and we were really disappointed by these. Firstly the adjoining door between the two rooms couldn't be closed (or at least it could but if it was, it locked when closed and could only be opened from the other. So if we closed the door to the kids room we could only open it by going outside and opening it in the other room). So at night we were not able to close the door between the kids and ourselves without them being locked into their room and not being able to access their room at all. The adjoining doors had ugly eggcrate foam haphazardly stuck onto the rear side of them and they stuck out obtrusively into the room when open (which they had to be all the time to prevent them from locking). We had to put a towel on the floor to stop the doors being closed and locked by accident. The acoustic foam coupled with the towel on the floor did rather spoil the aesthetic! The adjoining pools in this room type were also separated by a big wall and so it was like have two separate gardens rather than one space, and there wasn't anywhere large enough for us all to sit out together by the pool so it was rather strange and felt a bit isolating. You also couldn't watch TV in bed due to the way the TV has been placed in the room which couldn't be moved. ||The resort is small and whilst classy, relaxing and stylish, it is also a little boring and very isolated so you can't go anywhere else without driving. The communal pools are really pretty small with a very limited seating area around them, and the sea area (I wont' call it a beach because it really isn't) is minuscule and so far down a steep cliff that it is in shade most of the afternoon and you need mountaineering gear to get back up the stairs. The water is very shallow and very rocky, so it's ok for snorkelling but you can't jump into the water from the jettys that make up the beach either. We have tween boys who like muck around, play football and bat and ball on the beach, do watersports and run around and jump in the sea and the pool, and they were really bored here to be honest as there just isn't much for them to do and very little space for them to do it in. There aren't many sport facilities (other than an unshaded padel court and an indoor gym), and no watersports. Even boat hire involves having to be driven to somewhere 10 minutes away. The 'teen' room hardly has anything in it. It's just not a great place for older boys we didn't find.||Finally again to mirror what another reviewer said, we found the restaurants really uninspiring and terrible for kids. Most of them have a set meal rather than a menu with no options at all. The options in the all day restaurant we found a bit ordinary for the prices - it was priced higher than several Michelin starred restaurants we have been to even in places like London, and yet the food and service were really pedestrian. In fact the service was pretty rubbish - slow, inattentive and we felt like we'd been forgotten several times. The steak was tough. The wine wasn't cold. And there was a band playing that was so loud we couldn't have a conversation. But if you want to go out to eat you have to drive as the hotel isn't really near anything. ||We felt strongly that this should be an adults only hotel as it really isn't set up for kids, especially active ones - it just feels like the kind of place you go to use a spa, sunbathe, read a book and not move around very much as there isn't really anywhere to go. I mean, there are basically no children's activities, but it has a cigar room. That says it all! ||Overall it all just felt a bit style over substance. ||On the plus side, Breakfast was very good. The staff were nice. The gym is decent. The room design is pleasant and spacious. The beds were really comfy. The bathroom was nice and had good water pressure and nice showers and decent products. And the resort looks very pretty...
Read moreSept 2025||Firstly: We don’t work for/have any affiliation to (and are not being paid for this review by) Lesante! Just one couple’s honest opinion…||Just returned from a fantastic week at Lesante Cape - our first visit to Zakynthos. We rarely compose reviews, but this resort (and in particular its staff) deserves all the positive reviews it gets. It was the number of good reviews that encouraged us to book in the first place. Decided to see what all the fuss was about…||The resort itself is arranged to portray a traditional village scenario. Great, laid-back vibe. No noise (except some tunes playing around the pool area) - perfect if you want a quiet relaxing escape. Exactly what we were looking for. Despite being told the resort was about 90% full it seemed incredibly peaceful.||Accommodation is either suite or villa style. Suites vary. Sea or Garden View, with or without private pool/hot tub etc. There are some villas that can cater for larger groups and have private pools. We had a Signature Pool Suite Garden View in the 400 block. Pretty much all we were looking for….Nice privacy comfy loungers, nice (small) pool, very tastefully decorated, in-room bluetooth speaker, Wifi, Nespresso machine, minibar, sofa, large TV etc. Minibar prices are ridiculously high as usual in hotels, but we bought a few items locally and used the fridge to keep them cool. No need to buy water as this is offered daily ||We booked B&B, but half board is an option. Our preference is to explore the local area if possible and to try different places to eat. About €15 to Zakynthos town in 1 direction (15 mins), or €10 to Tsivili the other way. Plenty of choice for food/drink in those towns. Mini Golf in Tsivili was a fun way to spend a few hours. Great Blues bar right next to it too!||Lots of choice for breakfast at the Elea restaurant - pretty much anything you might want. Fruit, Cereals, cooked, cold meats, cakes & pastries…even salad/veg! Even Prosecco, or make yourself a Bloody Mary if necessary ! |If that’s not enough, there’s also an a-la-carte menu for eggs etc. Good coffee and fruit juices. We found the breakfast tea weak, but we tend to bring our own.||Pool areas are great, nice ‘beach bar’ (shout out to Aphrodite!) and the Novita restaurant nearby for lunch (and dinner). Karen says “you can judge a place by the quality of the loungers!” No complaints on that front. We had no trouble getting a place to relax. ||On the one day there was an onshore wind, we went back to our suite - with its own sunny loungers and pool! There’s no ‘beach’ per se, but a couple of jetties in the ocean complete with loungers/shades if you wanted that.||We have no complaints at all about the food, but sadly weren’t able to try all the restaurants onsite. We ate in Elea, had lunches and dinner at Novita, but I think our favourite dinner was at Bostani - the ‘Farm to Table’ concept restaurant. Much of the produce cooked is grown onsite - we loved it. ||Great staff, always seem to be friendly and smiling. From the moment we arrived and were given a welcome drink whilst checking in, to when we left - without fail the staff were warm and friendly. Cant really praise them enough, and it really does go a long way to making holidays special. ||One team member stood (literally) head and shoulders above the rest. We met 6’ 10” George working at the bar most evenings. Great fun chatting with him and he makes the best Whiskey Sour cocktail I’ve tasted! I tried as many as possible - all in the name of research for this review. Long after the Rock and Rollers had gone to bed, we enjoyed sitting there learning about different places to visit in Greece and George didn’t mind keeping the bar open though at times we were the last folks there. A credit to the hotel, along with Panos in guest relations.||No doubt that we would definitely return. It must be said that we were there in mid-September, so can’t comment on how the resort runs during ‘peak season’. Id like to think it is just as nice.||Please don’t tell anyone about this review, otherwise everyone will want to go there…|Darren & Karen Gray. Yep, our...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying here with my two children this June, and was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The property, the staff, the location, the rooms are five star. The staff are all amazing so pleasant and very polite, courteous respectful, always happy and jolly always happy to see us always smiling and very welcoming and hospitable we got to learn the names of almost every single staff Member that we came across and we grew to love them more and more each day. We spent a total of seven nights on the property and were very reluctant to leave at the end. The pools were all perfectly located with stunning views and very clean. The hammocks and sun beds in the pool were a nice touch Our room was overlooking the sea and an olive orchard, was very clean, spacious fully air-conditioning, and had its own swim up pool in the patio the property also grows all of its own produce, and you get to walk through all the vegetable patches, and there is even a farm to table restaurant on the property. The private beach was stunning. The sunbeds were lined up along the sea piers which were decked in woodwith the most stunning views in a quite beach with the clearest waters. this was a very beautiful and tranquil vacation and every staff member made us feel very special. The manager Vasileios was very accommodating and our concierge Mariella was amazing. The only complaint we have is the food. The breakfast was included in our stay but was disappointing. It was a very low standard of food, poor quality and lack luster , the fruit was always browning and lacked variety. It was mostly cut up apples and peaches swimming in some kind of liquid. There was no fresh berries or freshly cut pineapple or melon etc. It was all soggy browning fruit every day. There was only one station and that was a pancake station, that was served with very sugary and unhealthy toppings. The restaurants were beautiful but again the food was very disappointing for such a high standard and quality hotel. I expected there to be an equal quality of food. I cannot fault my stay here. We were very happy, but we had to order our food from delivery services each night because we were hungry. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I’ve recommended it to many of our friends and family. It is just heaven here and the staff are all so lovely the level of service they provide is outstanding. I miss everyone very much and can’t...
