I feel sad writing this as I know this is a very popular restaurant and we were so looking forward to our meal here. There were 9 of us and I must stress that 5 of the party totally enjoyed theirs. I can only feel that maybe the normal chef had a night off. One of our starters was meatballs and they were disgusting- tasted like the Campbells tinned ones. My husband got talked out of spaghetti bolognaise, which we presume was because they didn’t have any, and was persuaded to have carbonara which was undercooked and about 3 pieces of chicken. My daughters burger came 20 mins after our meals with the excuse he wasn’t happy with it 🤔 it then turned out to be one of the cheapest burgers possible and still half frozen. My meal was meant to be stefado but without aubergines to which he said I will make you a lovely dish. This turned out to be chunks of fatty beef in an oil with little chunks of rubbery feta, rice and undercooked potatoes, no veg etc. I wouldn’t say don’t try as everyone is different, we were just very...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Greek Stories in Kalamaki, and it was truly a highlight of my trip. My goal was to dive into as much traditional Greek cuisine as possible — and this was the perfect place to do it.
The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, and the service was fantastic — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, just like the Greek spirit is known for. It honestly felt like I was having a meal at a friend’s home.
I tried only traditional dishes, and every single one was a treat. The fried feta blew my mind — crispy on the outside, perfectly melty inside. The grilled octopus was tender and full of flavor, and the dolmades were beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
If I’m ever back on this side of the island, Greek Stories will be my first stop without a doubt. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a true taste of...
Read moreWe have come to Kalamaki many times and the food is always good. A friend said that a new restaurant called ‘Greek Stories’ was is a little different, so we tried them out. First we were impressed with the the little starter dips they presented, whilst we were waiting for our main of freshly grilled whole Dorados to be prepared. The dips were a trio of olives, feta cheese and aubergine, different to the usual fare and so good that we cleared the lot. The main dish was also excellent, the fish cooked to perfection and piping hot. It was accompanied with wild rice asparagus, carrot and lemon. We have since returned for a lunch of fresh bread and dips, fried cheese and mushrooms stuffed with cheese all washed down with draught Mythos beer - Food of the Gods!! We hope to return before we go back to Blighty for a nice...
