Official Complaint Regarding Visit on 23.08.2025

On 23 August 2025, I visited the Beachclub “Noe” in Zakynthos. Unfortunately, I must inform you all that my stay did not meet even the minimum standards of hospitality, service, and safety.
Upon arrival at around 12:30 p.m., we were received in an unfriendly manner in the parking area. Afterwards, we were shown to our table. While working in the back area for about 2.5–3 hours, I ordered drinks which were served – with some difficulty, but kindly – by a younger waiter.
At around 3:00 p.m., on the recommendation of the same waiter, I ordered beef advertised as halal-certified together with vegetables. When the food arrived about 30 minutes later, I was unable to enjoy it: Immediately after the meal was served, I was surrounded by several wasps, eventually rising to about 6–8 insects. As I am allergic, this situation represented a serious health risk. Eating safely and calmly was therefore impossible.
I addressed the waiter, who only brought me a burnt coffee that was of no help. Even covering the food with a cloth was ineffective. When I then asked another waiter to move my dish to a different area and perhaps warm it up again, I received only the unprofessional and unfriendly reply: “It is not our fault, it is your problem here.”
A so-called manager was then called. Although I merely asked for a workable solution, he curtly told me that no new dish could be served and refused to offer any assistance. I felt not only abandoned in this situation, but also pressured. In the end, I was forced to pay the full price for the steak (€34) and the vegetables (€14), even though I was unable to eat the food and faced a serious health hazard.
I would like to emphasize that the only member of staff who acted appropriately was the first younger waiter in black clothing. All others behaved disrespectfully, unprofessionally, and in a manner completely inappropriate towards a guest.
Conclusion and Request: • I demand a full refund of the costs for the meal (€48), since it was impossible for me to consume it in a safe and acceptable way. • In addition, I expect a written apology for the unprofessional handling of the situation and the disrespectful behavior.

Read moreWe spent a day at NOÉ and were disappointed. The place is very pretty, the beach is beautiful, the setting and the facilities are nice. Unfortunately, it all started at the reception, I told a hostess who seats customers that I had made a reservation for the first row and, with a lot of sarcasm and laughing, she told me that they had to remove a row of deckchairs because of the sea level. It would have been a matter of politely indicating it, she made me feel uncomfortable. She ended up placing us in the first row but one of our 2 sets of sunbeds was stuck together and behind a "VIP cabana", not very pleasant. Furthermore, we felt forgotten, the service was clearly not up to par, we already had trouble finding a beach attendant to order (very good food in this case), and no one came to clear our table afterward: I was forced to go report it to the beach attendants' area to have it done! Finally, the condition of the restrooms leaves something to be desired, especially the men's restrooms. There were traces of excrement in all the restrooms. A member of the beach staff then entered the restrooms, I thought he might be coming to clean, but no, he was using the customers' restrooms himself. Overall, I found it so disgusting that I stopped myself from going in the end. We are used to frequenting this type of beach club, which at first glance seems upscale, especially on other islands like Santorini or Mykonos, and we have never seen anything like this. As requested, I went onto the website to reserve beach chairs. I reserved two sets for 2:00, a choice that was made available to me on their system. I arrived exactly on time only to be told that there was nothing available, and that the first available set of 2 would go to me, despite being 4 people. Why have a system for saving chairs if you don’t honor it? I was met with a number of excuses, including that the people in charge of the chairs all came down with Covid. Please! I was prompted to sit, perhaps have a drink or even eat lunch, in hopes that something would pop up. In other words, waste my afternoon. To add, I recently had a friend share that she ordered an $80 bottle of wine on one day and a week later, they were charging $160 for the exact same bottle. Apparently wine ages at lightning speed at this beach club.
Needless to say, we left and went to our usual beach spot, Banana Baya, where the staff is beyond accommodating, the ambiance quite chill, and the food excellent. Highly recommend.
