Nikos Beach Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

We have had breakfast , lunch and dinner here on several occasions. The family are so friendly and helpful. The setting is idyllic and beats all the other eateries on the island. The food OMG where to begin! There is a wood fired outside oven and BBQ . The oven is used to bake moussaka, lamb/beef/chicken in the oven etc. the BBQ for sublime fish and meats , grilled halloumi and pittas.. Honestly everything we tried was the best. The homemade lemonade fresh and so light was delicious. Highlights which are hard to pick as every morsel was delicious. The meatballs in sauce where so light . The feta in filo with honey is so flavoursome. The lamb and chicken in the oven had so much flavour I can’t even begin. The lamb chops on the grill delicious served with homemade chips .The seafood all perfection especially the fried calamari the best I’ve ever eaten anywhere in the world! Yes on busy nights the tiny kitchen can be a little over run but the wait between courses and plates is always a blessing to digest the hats already been consumed. Everything about this place is enchanting. The final blessing is the underpriced value of our meals. So reasonable for the fresh quality food. I highly and whole heartedly recommend this restaurant. Terrible experience. No customer service or customer care at all. The owner doesn't know what she is doing and she is rude too. Also giving priority and bigger portions to EU tourists. We were a mixed group of people from Greece, UK and USA and she treated us like trash. We order entrées at first and arrived after an hour... My sister's order was a steak with fries and they brought to her a small plate with just an overcooked stake, no fries or anything...We were waiting almost 3 hours for our main order and then we decided to leave and cancel whatever was not on our table. ( even fries wasn't ready in 3 hours...) The owner tried to tell us, that our order will come soon and should wait...She also said to not create a scene and the chicken will need a bit more time....-more time?after 3 hours waiting ?- we asked for the check and they overcharged us, I believe because we cancel half of our order...the stakes on menu was 13 euros and they charged for 18 -saying again no fries or anything just a burnt piece of meat-...I'm not sure how that place has that "good" reputation...I wish there was a 0 star rating...

The best local and authentic kitchen in Zakynthos. We come here since 5 years , a lot of local people come here and they consider it as one of best restaurants in town. All products are local and cooked in oven same day. All done by Yianna the owner with her local recipes. It’s a family resturant with her daughter and relatives working here . You should be patient coming here and if you are in hurry ask the waiter what already in the oven so you don’t wait too long . As they prepare everything as per order so it takes sometimes long time if what you ordered is not in the oven already 😅 it’s a concept but once you know it you get more relaxed . The size of the dishes are big and not expensive at all comparing to other restaurants in town. I honestly don’t understand the other comments people comparing Zakynthos with Mykonos prices or kefalonia as I have been in these other islands and the prices there are much higher and much smaller portions than the prices and portion at this...
