The best meal I enjoyed so far in all of Central America. Oh my gosh, my soul is soaring after my meal. First of all, the waitress was so kind and funny (I had a chance to practice my Spanish). Some things on the menu were not available. I pointed to a photo I saw in another review and wanted that but was still so happy. The chicken, veggies, and rice were perfectly cooked and seasoned. And I was so stoked to have plantains. 🤤 I will not forget this meal that was healthy and to my liking. Highly recommend!

The only cafe in Lanquin…?? Therefore we visited quite a few times! Pizza was decent but I prefer it a little bit more crisp! I’d recommend the fruit, yogurt and granola bowl! Veggie pasta definitely came straight out of a jar with some frozen vegetables popped into it. The showstopper was the cake that we had! We think it had just been made fresh so was still warm from the oven! So so good.

I went there twice, looking for different service just to give a second chance. First I just want to appreciate a cup of coffee, preferable a Guatemalan coffee in the afternoon, the coffee was served cold probably the one left in the Thermo from morning time. I returned for dinner, got chicken with mushrooms sauce, all the ingredients were ok except by excess of salt.

We arrived and were told that there were no vegetables, pizzas or sandwiches available. When walking to a table, I physically saw the two staff eye rolling at us and making fun of us, which made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. Felt as if they were annoyed at us? Food was basic. My partner order Bolognese which was definitely just a jar. The “side” of fries was less than a kids a happy meal. I ordered the chicken and side of rice and chips (given no vegetables), it was basic and fine but again, side of fries portion size was small. Felt like the staff didn’t want us there. Given this was recommended by two different people, it’s a shame it...

This restaurant has minimal actual food and alcohol available compared to their menu, and only told us once we had sat down and tried to order. They only had pizzas, hamburgers, and sandwiches available. I am celiac (gluten free) and tried to order a hamburger with no bun, and was denied. I went back and forth with the server for a few minutes asking why it was not possible to have no bun because of a food allergy, for her to tell us that “the people watching the camera will scold them”. After ordering one Cuba Libre and trying to order another, we were simply told “no”. Not sure what the deal is with this place, but we left hungry and...

Food was really decent, especially for the price. But on the particular night we were there it was so slow. Luckily we were there fairly early for dinner so managed to get ahead of everyone. But even then I had to go downstairs to get the menu, then again to order, and again lastly to get the bill otherwise it’d have never happened. When we were dining, we were the ones on the whole upstairs that were eating or drinking. Everyone else was waiting. Not sure if there was an issue that night or it was normal. But definitely worth checking out as the food was tasty and...
